His leadership and insight made the club a better place. As this is my first newsletter, I would like to invite any and all club members to send your ideas on how we can make our club a better place! The golf committee just finished up and I am happy to report that we should be able to put about $12, in to the building fund. As usual the club is looking for bartenders, just give me a call and we will set up your training. We have some days when we just need help from 4 to 6. The club is beautiful and it is time for a good summer cleaning. If we get enough help, we can do it in two to three hours. I hope to hear from all of you. See you at the patio party! You are not eligible for benefits until you are initiated! Pizza Night NEW NIGHT--Thursday, July 8 th The Eagles Club will be holding a Pizza Night on Thursday, July 8 th from 5:00-8:30 p.m. Prices are: $12.00 for a large; $14.00 for a large with 4 or more toppings; $7.00 for a small; $8.00 for a small with 4 or more toppings; and $1.00 added to all carry outs. Our pizza is freshly made from scratch. You can choose from the following toppings: beef, sausage, pepperoni, onion, green/black olives, mushrooms, Canadian bacon, sauerkraut, Taco, BLT, and green peppers. Not deep dish just thick! Dine in or carry out All pizza nights benefit club activities. Music in the Park Saturday, July 10 th Music in the Park is a family oriented event with music, games, food, beverages, and musical entertainment. The event runs from 12 P.M.-12 A.M. and will be held in Asbury City Park. 3 Calendar of Events Continued Aerie Initiation Wednesday, July 14th Patio Party Wednesday, July 21st District Meeting No District Meeting in July but plan ahead to attend the District Meeting in Dubuque County Fair--July 27th-Aug. 1st The Aerie will be initiating new members on Wednesday, July 14th at 7:00 p.m. Please be sure to attend if you are a new member and have not been initiated yet. You are not eligible for benefits until you are initiated! Come and party on the patio on Wednesday, July 21st. Burgers, hot dogs, and brats will be available to purchase from 5-9 P.M. and live music will be playing throughout the evening. August. This will be held on Sunday, August 22 nd and there will be a picnic included. Watch next month s newsletter for more information. Don t forget to support your local county fair!! Golf Outing Thank you to community members, sponsors, participants, and anyone who donated prizes for our annual Eagles Club Golf Outing. Our golf outing was a great success. We were able to raise over $12,000, which will go towards our building fund. Thank you! You went over goal with 21 donations! You had 18 people who had never donated with Mississippi Valley! And you are a healthy bunch no deferrals! Your drive provided as many as 63 blood products for patients in need especially with the holiday weekend approaching, your efforts are truly appreciated! I do hope we can do blood drives regularly at the Eagles 6 months would be November. Thank You, Sharee To all Eagle Club Members, Thank you for your generous donation of $500 to the American Legion Post 6! On behalf of all our members, I salute your generosity and community spirit! We will use your donation wisely, as we continue to honor our Veterans through Military Rites.
