1 HUTCHINSON MOOSE LODGE # East First Street HUTCHINSON, KANSAS (620) LEGION NEWS We are closing out 2018 serving a chili and soup dinner on the 28th. This year s Christmas Ball was a big success with a large group of dancers, great music and lots of fun. Thanks to all the wonderful Moose Legion volunteers, the en re year was filled with projects that afford us the opportunity to help our Lodge financially. So, here we go into another year of work, fun and fellowship in the Moose Lodge and Legion. The January 25th dinner will be meat loaf, scalloped potatoes, green beans, bread, salad and dessert. We thought it would be a good idea to start the year with comfort food. Brother Burgess a ended the District One mee ng in November and reported on it at our December mee ng. The main revela on in his report was the electrical systems in many of the houses at Mooseheart need updated so all Moose lodges will most likely be asked in the near future to assist in that project. 2 MOOSE FROM YOUR ADMINISTRATOR I SINCERELY HOPE EVERYONE HAD A NICE CHRISTMAS AND ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO A HAPPY AND GREAT NEW YEAR IN I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE WHO IN SOME WAY SUPPORTED THE HUTCHINSON MOOSE LODGE IN WELCOME TO ALL OF THE NEW MEMBERS TO THE HUTCHINSON MOOSE LODGE, WOTM, AND. THANKS TO ALL WHO RENEWED THEIR DUES WHEN THEY WERE DUE. THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH WORDS TO THANK EACH OF YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO FOR THE LODGE WHETHER IT BE BY VOLUNTEERING, DONATIONS, AND SUPPORTING THE LODGE ON MEAL S AND SATURDAY DANCES. I KNOW THAT YOU PROBABLY WONDER WHERE THE MONEY GOES. A LARGE PORTION OF OUR DUES GO TO MOOSEHEART AND MOOSEHAVEN. MOST OF THE CHILDREN AT MOOSEHEART HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THEY WOULD BE IF IT WERE NOT FOR MOOSE MEMBERS SUPPORT. THESE ARE OUR CHILDREN AND THEY ARE VERY THANKFUL FOR WHAT WE DO. THE SAME GOES FOR THE RESIDENTS AT MOOSEHAVEN. JUST KNOWING WHERE THE MONEY GOES MAKES ME PROUD TO BELONG TO THE MOOSE FRATERNITY. HOPEFULLY YOU WILL REMEMBER THIS WHEN IT BECOMES TIME FOR YOU TO RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP. HAVE YOU INVITED ANYONE TO THE MOOSE LODGE AS YOUR GUEST? THIS IS A GOOD WAY TO SHOW THEM WHAT WE DO.
