This is a Europe wide piece of legislation that the UK has chosen to adopt in full. There are several key changes between the Data Protection Act 1998 and the GDPR that you need to be aware of. Essentials of GDPR Course This course is aimed at those involved in the handling of people s information as part of their day to day role, providing a GDPR overview. Learners will understand the key principles and process under the regulation and what their roles and responsibilities include. LINK TO COURSE All Staff Free Overview: Essentials of GDPR Course: Sue Overton Applied Practice (SOAP) is a new approach to safeguarding training which enables delegates to see what safeguarding looks and feels like in practice at a fictitious nursery called Snuggles. Key learning is skilfully woven into two interlocking story lines where delegates witness staff facing safeguarding dilemmas and agonising over what action to take. It s like watching a serious case review before it has happened. Delegates are provided with a code to enable them to access all the video clips and handouts online. An online certificate is provided on successful completion of the course. LINK TO COURSE TRAINER All staff within PVI settings.
