1 Listed below are the grants awarded in June 2018 to local organisations meeting our own funding priorities or those agreed with our fund-holders, together with grants of 1,000 and over directed by our fund-holders to charities of their choice. s Awarded June 2018 Recipient Vital Signs Theme Amount Awarded Project Description 191st Bristol Scout Group Environment 10, A contribution toward the cost of replacing the lighting and heating with more energy efficient systems at the this well used scout hut and community facility. APE Project CIC Environment 10, Toward the cost of delivering the St Paul's Renewables project, which includes a set of workshops provided by Demand Energy Equality and the construction of demonstration wind turbine that will be on show at the St Pauls Adventure Playground. Programme Name Ashley Community Housing Ltd Hartcliffe & Withywood Community Partnership Fairness 4, Toward the Saving Energy at ACH project involving providing energy efficiency advice to ACH tenants, providing efficiency maintenance work in tenant s homes and providing 'Energy ESOL' (English for Speakers of Other Languages) sessions at the group's existing ESOL sessions. Fairness 5, Toward the cost of undertaking an energy audit at Community Centre, initial feasibility work to explore the possibility of installing solar panels, and to train 5 individuals to provide advice to residents about switching energy providers.

2 St Mary Redcliffe Primary School PTA Environment 8, Toward the cost of the Our Energy, Our Future project to be delivered at St Mary Redcliffe Primary School, including: a community Energy Fair and a set of workshops provided by Demand Energy Equality (DEE), involving the pupils in designing and producing solarpowered equipment. St Werburghs Community Association Environment 4, Toward the cost of installing new energy efficient lighting in the group's main hall, creating community energy focused education boards in the centre's lobby and providing energy efficiency information stalls at the group's four annual community events. Talking Money Fairness 10, Toward the cost of a specialist energy advice trained staff member providing specialist energy advice as part of Talking Money's Fuel for the Future (FFTF) advice service. As part of this work the adviser will also work with tenants of Solon and Liverty Housing Associations. Vocalise Magazine CIC Environment 2, Toward the cost of producing the energy-saving advice feature in the Vocalise community magazine, serving the Ashley area, over one year. Young Bristol 2, Towards co-ordinated holiday activities for children aged 8-12 in Bristol. ACTA 5, Toward strategy work to make the organisation more self-supporting, by exploring income generating opportunities such as training and maximising the use of their building. BYCA Catalyst Programme Easton & Lawrence Hill Neighbourhood Management Work 11, Toward the charities small grants programme which aims to improve employment and personal skills of residents in the Barton Hill, Dings, Newtown, Redfield and Lawrence Hill areas. 3 Learning Partnership West CIC 10, Toward the Summer Play Partnership 2018, providing summer holiday play provision for children and young people aged 8-13, focusing on Barton Hill, Lawrence Weston, Hartcliffe and Filwood. Catalyst Programme Our Way Our Say Arts, Culture & Heritage 2, For 15 weeks of Musical theatre and dance classes for children from the Southward area of Weston-super-Mare over the summer. Catalyst Programme StreetSpace Knowle Safety 10, To run a series of activities and interventions to tackle the issues of anti-social behaviour by young people in Filwood. Catalyst Programme Unique Voice Arts, Culture & Heritage 10, Toward the East Side Factory Holiday Programmes, a series of creative activities in the school holidays across a year in Hillfields for children aged Catalyst Programme Avonmouth Holiday Playscheme Fairness 4, For holiday activity workshops (run by APE Project), and coach/bus costs and entrance fees for 8 outings - giving the children in this deprived area fun days out that they would otherwise not have. Express Programme Bristol24/7 Learning 3, Towards the cost of a film-making course for NEET young people to take place in partnership with Boomsatsuma and additional mentoring from other filmmakers. Express Programme Clevedon YMCA 1, Towards sporting activities during the summer holidays and after school during term time. Express Programme Coniston Community Association 2, Towards upgrading IT equipment and internet access at the Coniston Community Centre. Express Programme DET ENTERTAINMENT Toward the cost of providing a community fun day, that provide community information stalls, to be held at the Rose Green Centre in Easton in August. Express Programme Friends of Warmley Park School Healthy Living 1, Towards the cost of thirteen Sensory Canoeing sessions for nine pupils with special educational needs. Express Programme

4 Grassroot 1, A contribution toward Growing Streets Together, a community gardening project which aims to bring the community together, increasing local skills and volunteering. Express Programme Jacari Bristol Fairness 1, Towards the cost of ongoing tutoring sessions. Express Programme Keep Playing trading as Level Water Fairness 5, Toward the cost of the set-up and delivery of their Level Water programme at Horfield and Henbury Pools, providing swimming lessons for children with physical or sensory disabilities. Express Programme Little Mead PTA Learning 1, A contribution toward the cost of providing a set of playground games markings at Little Mead Primary Academy in Southmead. Little Rainbows Pre- School Learning 2, Towards installing a large sandpit area and shed for the pre-school based in the Patchway area. Express Programme Express Programme Network Counselling and Training Ltd PAPER Artistic Development CIC Healthy Living 2, Toward the cost of providing subsidised counselling for clients based in Patchway and North Bristol who are unable to pay for counselling services. Learning 2, Towards the 'Take Part' programme that will provide 6 NEET young people with a 2-month placement designing a pack that maps creative opportunities available in Bristol, and an opportunities fair. Express Programme Express Programme Phoenix Social Enterprise 2, Towards ESOL with Citizenship course, helping participants develop their English and support them when completing Home Office forms. Express Programme Southmead Development Trust 2, Toward the cost of employing a UWE intern for 5 months to assist in coordinating communications relating to consultation and stakeholder engagement work, while the group develop master plan for regeneration work that they are leading on in the Southmead area. 5 The Haven Healthy Living 2, Toward the cost of a 26-week woodwork project for the benefit of individuals in recovery from addiction. Express Programme We the Curious (formerly At Bristol) Learning 3, Toward Welcome Visits, that aim to break down barriers of fear and unfamiliarity with informal learning environments like We the Curious, and increase parental confidence in family learning, targeting families in disadvantaged areas. Express Programme Easton & Lawrence Hill Neighbourhood Management 4, For the exploration of collaborative work between East Bristol based groups Up Our Street, Easton Community Centre and Felix Road Adventure Playground Funding the Future Hartcliffe & Withywood Community Partnership 24, Toward eleven streams of organisational development work aimed at enabling the organisation to make a shift in the way they are funded and involving work to step up the way that they mobilise and support residents. Funding the Future Knowle West Media Centre 34, Toward the Knowle West Alliance project that aims to engage both residents and local organisations to deliver several initiatives to strengthen the community and make it more self-sufficient and resilient. Funding the Future KeySteps (formerly WDGB) Housing & Homelessness 20, First year payment of a three-year award from the Henry Smith Charity towards a service providing advice and support to homeless people and those at risk of becoming homeless in Weston-super-Mare and across North Somerset. Henry Smith Charity Lawrence Weston Community Farm 15, Third year of a three-year award from the Henry Smith Charity towards the salary and on costs of a part-time Project Administrator at a community farm. Henry Smith Charity South Bristol Advice Services Healthy Living 40, The second-year payment of a three-year award from the Henry Smith Charity towards an Additional Support Needs Mental Health project for vulnerable people in South Bristol.
