1 South Lake Tahoe Yacht Club The Anchor Newsletter - July 2017 Commodore s Notes Hello SLTYC Members, This is your Summer 2017 Anchor Newsletter with information on upcoming events and status report for activities in the club for This information, newsletter and calendar of events are also available on our website at on the Home page and on the Publications page. Please also visit the Activities page for the Calendar of Events! We sent out the regarding merging SLTYC with the Windjammer Yacht Club. We have received positive feedback and we are looking forward to continuing the work on merging our clubs. We look forward to a positive and exciting new experience combining the two clubs. Your Commodore, Kevin Kornegay Vice Commodore s Report Happy 2017 Cruise Year!!! Please take a look at the schedule of the activities that are planned for SLTYC throughout this year. We are always looking for your suggestions for additional activities that you would like added to the cruise calendar. Please share your ideas; I would love to hear them! This year SLTYC is holding four Club Mixers with the Windjammer Yacht Club. In July, the Windjammers are hosting the Ehrman Mansion Tour and Picnic Mixer and SLTYC is planning the
2 Halloween Mixer Party in October. In addition to these events, members of each club are invited to attend any event planned by either club. Also, throughout the Cruise Year, I need Cruise Captains and members to help with event planning, setup and cleanup. Please look at the Cruise Year schedule and see which events work best for volunteering your assistance. Whether you live full time in Tahoe or just visit for vacations, your help at an event would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to seeing all of you at as many events as you can attend.
