Alpha Zeta Auction for MS Hosted luncheon and auction to benefit MS. $4, TBD 3 Beta Delta Walk MS Tom Bilbrey our president also served on the committee in organizing the event. $ Beta Zeta Taxi Bash Painted up a used car set to be demolished, and gave people a chance to take a swing at it for $1. Beta Sigma MS Walk Walked a 5K in Pittsburgh to support and raise money. $ $ Gamma Epsilon Walk for MS Participated in the MS Walk..mandatory event for all chapter members. $ Gamma Iota MS Bike We helped set up aid stations and distributed water and provisions to the bikers, helped with cleanup. Gamma Iota MS Walk Helped set up barricades for the course of the walk, we helped direct traffic, and also cheered people on. Gamma Mu MS Climb to the Top Brothers climbed 66 flights of stairs at the Rockefeller Center! $ $ $ Gamma Pi National Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month Gave away pens, pins, pamphlets, bracelets, and other freebies. Before we gave anything away we asked them basic questions about MS to see what they already or did not know about the disease. Went and visited the local MS support group and gave out information at campout. $1, $

2 Gamma Pi IDENTITY Fashion Show Fashion show and raffles. Gamma Phi Tug-of-War Against Multiple Sclerosis A tug-of-war tournament was held at the campus gym. Brothers will sell tickets for 7 dollars each and all profits will be saved to reach our goal of $2,500 for Habitat for Humanity home build in the fall This is our second year doing thus event. $ Alpha Iota Habitat for Humanity ReStore Helped out at the ReStore for two hours in the store and helped customers search through used goods for their desired item. Beta Zeta Habitat for Humanity Went to a site location and helped them as the group leader directed. Alpha Zeta Relay for Life For 24 hours "cancer never sleeps and so for one night neither will we" camping out and playing games throughout the night and day. $2, $2, Alpha Nu Theta Xi Bone Marrow Drive Alumnus and former President, Jonathan Gilde, has a cousin who was diagnosed with leukemia last year.. set up a bone marrow drive. $ Alpha Omicron Theta Xi Car Bash Hosted car bash in support of one of our AO alumni that was recently diagnosed with stage four mouth cancer. proceeds towards his recovery...sold burgers. $ Beta Omicron Relay for life We did a 24 hour walk for relay for life. $1, Beta Upsilon Relay 4 Life We are running a booth at our campuses Relay 4 Life event in honor of our brother Joe Chesno, who was diagnosed with Lymphoma this past year. $ Kappa Omicron Relay for Life Kappa Sigma - SRelay for Life 2012 Chapter members walked in the Relay for Life to raise awareness for Cancer Research. The event lasted from 6pm on Friday to 10 am on Sunday $ $ Kappa Sigma - SRelay for Life help Members participated in the setting up/tearing down of the event, as well as contributing to various cancer funds at the event. $ Kappa Phi Relay For Life: Pie a Theta Xi In order to raise money we had people pay to pie brothers with whipped cream. $ Gamma Alpha Relay for Life Shepherd University hosted Relay for Life in which the chapter stayed the night fundraising money for the event. $ Gamma Mu Purple Stride Lisa Niemi, the first celebrity spokesperson to join the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. joined in honor of her late husband, Patrick Swayze, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2009 after a two-year battle with the disease. She helped to launch the organization's "Be a Hero in the Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer: Know it. Fight it. End it." awareness campaign on September 14, 2010, the one year anniversary of Patrick's passing. Theta Xi supports the efforts of Lisa and millions of others who work to provide relief for those affected by the disease. Gamma Mu Relay for Life We walk the track the entire night and opened our own fundraising tents at the event. Gamma Pi Relay for Life This year's theme was board games. JUMANJI idea. 4 Alpha Susan Odell Taylor School Clean-up The local school reached out to us personally for help with removing remove weeds, transplanting shrubs, and completing other landscaping jobs. Alpha Prospect Park Cleanup/City of Troy Easter Egg Hunt Cleaning & painting fences, etc. Helped at the Easter Egg hunt by preparing/hiding eggs, helping children color eggs and painting faces. Upsilon Green Greek Week In partnership with IFC and Pan-Hellenic we participated in a university-wide competition with a myriad of events to encourage sustainable habits and promote conversational education events including street cleanups, movie showings and seminars about conservation. Omega Adopt a Block Every Sunday, at 11am, our house would go out and clean up our block and our surrounding area for an hour. Omega Greek Sweeps The university put on Greek clean ups several times in which we were an active part. Alpha Beta Adopt-A-Highway For their service project, our fall associate member class chose to participate in the adopt-a-highway program. They had three cleanings in the fall semester, and we have had two this far in the spring semester. A photo of the sign will be sent along with the other accreditation material. Alpha Iota Personal Community Service Projects From Fall 2012, Spring 2012, and Spring This school year, the men of Alpha Iota took a ambitious outlook on how we could serve our communities and each other better. After looking over the monthly community service hour sheets, we had over 20 members who averaged more than 10 hours a month, and another 10 who averaged over 5 hours a month, in everything from emergency room volunteering, to visiting senior centers, to youth soccer coaching. We are very proud of the way we've looked at service to our house and our community, and we plan on finding ways to improve even more in the next year, with a new philanthropy, and bi-monthly community service events for the entire house. In the past, we haven't been the best about documenting all of our service, but because this year we have more people who want to do service and are keeping track of their hours (especially a couple of our members who contributed over 100 hours over the past two semesters) we were able to record a much larger number of man hours than in years past. Now, that being said, this does include the service from Spring of 2012, which is technically from last year, BUT the statement above said list ALL service done in the year. If that is an issue, then you should calculate our total man hours with about 480 hours as opposed to 754 hours for the Personal Service Projects. Each Greek Organization is allowed to clean the outsides of their own houses to better the aesthetics of campus. We planted shrubs, cleaned up the pine straw and mulch, and washed the sidewalks around the Chapter House. Beta Delta Adopt-a-spot We clean up a section of Carbondale bi-weekly. $ $ Beta Xi Campus Beautification Chapter members cleaned up various parts of the University's campus, planted trees, and mulched large areas. Beta Omicron Clarion park clean up We went and helped clean up the Clarion County Park with the maintenance workers there. Beta Pi The Big Event Cleaned up SELU's campus with other organizations. 5 Gamma Alpha Campus Clean Up During this event, the brother of our chapter worked with the sisters of Sigma Sigma sigma to pick trash up across campus. Mu Theta Xi-der We sold hot cider and hot chocolate on central campus and donated the money to the Ames Emergency Residence Program. Sigma Trees and Pancakes We volunteered to cut down invasive species in a park on North Campus. $1, $ $ Omega Clothing Drive for Alternatives to Violence We organized a clothing drive in which the majority of sororities on campus participated in. We made boxes, signs, and delivered them to all of the houses. We collected about 15 large boxes of clothing. Alpha Epsilon Running Down GBS One of our brothers who graduated in 1993 got GBS... volunteered and helped set up, sign people in, hand out t-shirts and food, and help take stuff down. Alpha Epsilon Big Event/Kid Carnival We helped at a kids Carnival by running the games there were there and helping with the obstacles courses and rock wall. 6 Alpha Nu Waffle Night Fundraiser with the Helenes We helped sell waffles for $5 from 8pm to midnight. Funds went to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Alpha Nu Dance Marathon 12 hour long philanthropy that raised money for the Children s Miracle Network and Children s Hospital Los Angeles. $ Alpha Nu Various sorority philanthropies $ The Alpha Nu chapter of Theta Xi actively supports different sorority philanthropies throughout the year. One example is our participation in Tri Delta s Dodgeball tournament which raised money for St. Jude s Children Research Hospital. Most of our brothers were able to participate and had fun in this competition for charity. The Chapter volunteered with members of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority at the local can food drive for the holidays at the Cajundome. Beta Epsilon Day at the Races Watched the Kentucky Derby and had a raffle where people chose their favorite horse and received prizes if their horse performed well. Beta Xi Theta Xi Talent Show Theta Xi is hosting a campus-wide talent show with free entry to the student population. This is our first year getting involved, and it will help us in the future since it is sponsored by Cal U's Meteorology program. Beta Sigma Walk a Mile in her Shoes We walked a mile in heels in order to raise awareness about violence against women. Beta Upsilon Pittsburgh Heart Walk We assisted in setting up tables, interacting with many survivors, worked many different stations, and anything thing else that was necessary of us. Beta Omega Greeks Giving Back The Greek community of Virginia Tech goes to different locations around Blacksburg to help members of the community. $ $ $ $ $ Beta Omega Chi Omega's Cinco De Chi- Make-a-Wish Foundation. 7 Kappa Theta Blood Drive We held a mobile blood drive in the union. We obtained around 40 pints of blood to be donated. Contestants are asked questions each round and judged based on personality, spirit, and appearance. $2, $ Gamma Xi Hurricane Sandy Relief Project We paired up with the Gamma Iota chapter and created an online fundraiser. We advertised this fundraiser through media outlets. $3, Gamma Pi Tunnel of Oppression People go through the event walk through different rooms each with a different oppressions like eating disorders, rape, race, and religion. The guests were made to feel "oppressed" and put in real life situations that were made to be uncomfortable to reach the emotions and to place them in other's shoes. Gamma Tau Chili Cook Off for Heart Disease Rented out our lot and help set up and put on a Chili cook off, had a live band and raised thousands of dollars for heart disease, Gamma Phi The Taxi Bash A car was brought on campus for a car bash. Tickets were sold at $5, and came with 3 hits on a car & cooked lunch. Gamma Chi Green House Build a greenhouse, getting flower beds ready to be planted, building a compost bin. Gamma Chi Condom Bingo Hosted a Condom Bingo event and ran the event itself. Promoted safe sex and against sexual assault. $3, $ $ $1, $ $
