2 WE BUILD HEALTHY FAMILIES THROUGH OUTDOOR PLAY EVENT OBJECTIVES St. David s Center has an unwavering commitment to over 3,000 children and families in our community by responding to their most urgent needs in a way that promotes healthy development through exceptional early childhood education, early intervention and treatment, and supported living and therapeutic recreation. Research tells us and we see the positive effects firsthand that a child who spends time outdoors grows healthy and strong, is more imaginative, feels less stress and learns the wonders of nature. By sponsoring, you will: Encourage families to get outdoors and be active; Offer Get Out and Grow strategies children and parents can implement at home and in their communities; and Celebrate the St. David s Center community and experience our natural play spaces!

3 GET OUT AND GROW! Our 12th Annual Get Out and Grow Fall Festival and 5K Walk, Run, and Roll celebrates the great outdoors and a family s place in it! This event will draw more than 1,000 participants of all ages and abilities to our campus and the 2.5 acres of DNR-designated wetlands and School Forest. The event will kick off with the inclusive 5K, followed by the Festival that will feature up-close encounters with animals and nature as well as interactive art, music and energy-boosting activities.
