I order to serve residets more efficietly, the towship has purchased two ew buses to replace two agig buses i the fleet. The ew buses are scheduled to arrive withi the ext few weeks. Towship buses provide trasportatio for seior citizes ad people with disabilities. Bus service is available for medical visits, grocery shoppig, ad may other trips withi the towship borders. We do ot provide same-day service. You must be registered with the departmet i order to receive trasportatio. The Towship Rider Iitiative Program, or TRIP, is for trasportatio out of Schaumburg Towship for medical purposes. It is a cooperative with Elk Grove, Haover, Palatie ad Wheelig Towships, ad PACE. You ca go to the VA Hospitals i Maywood, Elgi, dowtow ad North Chicago. It will also go to Chicago/dowtow to places like Rush, Northwest, ad UIC as well as Luthera Geeral, Good Shepherd, Northwest Commuity, ad Alexia Brothers Hospital. You must be registered to use this service. To use our service, you must be age 60 or over, or age 18 or over with a permaet disability.
