WHO ARE WE? Simon Says Give is a nonprofit founded by Mandi Simon when she was 8-years old.

Supplies drive. On April 13, 2017 Simon Says Give Turns 5! We chose this date in honor of the first birthday party we hosted on April 13, 2012, for our friend Ben.

Our High Five for Supplies drive has supported over 25,000 children with backpacks and supplies over the past five years.

Our Chapter Presidents and their teams have impacted over 1,000 children with their hunger passion projects.

We could not make this happen if it wasn t for our donors and strategic partners. WHY SPONSOR?

2 WHO ARE WE? Simon Says Give is a nonprofit founded by Mandi Simon when she was 8-years old. We support Kids Celebrating Kids in four ways: Birthday Celebrations for kids in need, Youth Leadership opportunities, Chapter Passion Projects and our annual High Five for Supplies drive. On April 13, 2017 Simon Says Give Turns 5! We chose this date in honor of the first birthday party we hosted on April 13, 2012, for our friend Ben. Since then, we have celebrated close to 1,500 birthday parties with 10 friends. To put it another way, over 15,000 children have been impacted by Kids Celebrating Kids. Our High Five for Supplies drive has supported over 25,000 children with backpacks and supplies over the past five years. At the same time, we have grown in our Youth Leadership with a Kid Advisory Board for our Minnesota Chapter and we started new chapters in South Dakota and Massachusetts. Our Chapter Presidents and their teams have impacted over 1,000 children with their hunger passion projects. 3 HIGH FIVE FOR SUPPLIES High Five for Supplies is our largest impact project to-date. Each summer we work with hundreds of businesses that conduct supply drives in their offices and/or donate cash to put towards our purchase power. Our goal is 10,000 backpacks fully loaded with the supplies kids Kindergarten to 12th grade need to go back to school ready to learn and succeed. In the past five years, over 25,000 kids have received backpacks and school supplies, and we are setting our sights higher in the future. 5 WORLD S LARGEST BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION Mall of America and Simon Says Give are partnering for this record breaking event on August 8, WHY Mall of America turns 25 on August 11, 2017 and Simon Says Give turns 5 on April 13, We are joining forces to celebrate our milestones by impacting 2,500 children with Birthdays in a Box. IMPACT 2,500 birthdays in a box. IMPACT VALUE $375,000 impact to kids receiving the birthday. (Value of a birthday in a box = $150.) Each birthday child will be able to celebrate his/her day with 10 friends. Therefore, when 2,500 children are celebrated 25,000 children are truly able to celebrate! Thousands of volunteer impact hours! Kids 2 to 92 will be able to participate in this World Record event! WHAT S IN A BIRTHDAY IN A BOX Everything a parent would need to do a pop-up birthday party for his/her child. Birthday cake, frosting, candles, party favors, goodie bags for 10 kids, a Gift in Need and a Gift for Fun. EVENT DETAILS On August 8th, Simon Says Give and Mall of America will have volunteers, sponsors and team members that will be working hard to pack 2,500 birthdays in a box to hit the World s Record for the largest birthday celebration impact in one location in one day. 7 WORLD S LARGEST BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION WHAT WE NEED Here is a list of what is needed to support 2,500 birthdays. Listed below are the typical items that are put into boxes. If someone is interested in a specific line-item to underwrite or donate the quantity needed, we welcome that. GIFT ITEMS The average cost for a Gift In Need is $25 and the average cost for a Gift of Fun is $25. Therefore, $50 per box. A dollar amount can be donated to underwrite a certain number of gifts.
