9 Leadership Board Enhance and drive the organization s vision, mission and support the annual plan in partnership with staff Support and monitor volunteer recruitment and engagement efforts in the local market in partnership with staff. Provide leadership in the accomplishment of annual fundraising mission and metrics in the local market in partnership with staff. Identify key leaders for greater involvement in the foundation

10 JA Chair Responsibilities Serve as liaison for JA families in state/local area Recruit volunteers in the community to engage pediatric rheumatology clinics/doctors; help facilitate local JA related events, camp opportunities, local JA Power Pack outreach and assist with further engaging families. Set priorities Work towards 2015 annual plan deliverables Enhance needs in local community and region Hold regularly scheduled committee meetings Suggestion: monthly Financially support the organization

14 Building out your JA Committee Who to recruit? Active Mom, Dad or Caregiver for children with arthritis and pediatric rheumatic diseases. Maybe involved in fundraising, advocacy, family event volunteers Leaders in the JA community Pediatric Rheumatologist, Nurse, Pediatric Physical Therapist Young adults who were diagnosed as children with juvenile arthritis or a pediatric rheumatic disease

15 JA Committee Engage pediatric rheumatology clinics/doctors to inform them of Arthritis Foundation resources, information and activities related to juvenile arthritis and pediatric rheumatic diseases Help facilitate local JA related events, camp opportunities, local JA Power Pack outreach and assist with further engaging families Financially support the organization

19 Engaging Families A JA Family who is engaged is defined as those who interact with the Arthritis Foundation through our events and services and give back through the following: JA Family Team and fundraising Advocacy Volunteering
