Type in Factor CP as the ingredient description. Type in the nutrient code of Crude Protein in the last cell (Nutrient Name called Factor ). Type in a 1 for every nutrient in this case all the amino acids and digestible amino acids that will be factored using Crude Protein. Click to accept the Nutrient Factoring definition. You may define up to 9 different Nutrient Factoring configurations 6
Nutrient Factoring Mill Mix The Mill Mix Reports to be sent to the production team. We must define the ingredient groups and categorize how your enterprise handles different types of ingredients. select Mill Mix Setup Groups Group Name Accumulate Dbl Space Amount Percent Batch Weights 7

Mill Mix Mill Mix Report Analyzing and Changing Formula 9
Analyzing and Changing Formula Formula Cost: The current formula cost after the most recent optimization. Previous Formula Cost: The formula cost prior to the most recent optimization. Formula Cost Previous Formula Cost: The difference in formula cost as a result of the last optimization. Stored Formula Cost: The cost of the corresponding stored formula. Formula Cost Stored Cost: The difference between the stored formula and the current formula costs. Analyzing and Changing Formula Description: the Code and Name of the ingredients or nutrients Amount: the Amount, Price and Stock Status t (*); for nutrients Min/Max: The Min and Max columns. Previous: the last values before the most recent optimization took place. Lo/Hi Cost: Often called Shadow Analysis, these columns indicate break points. The Lo Cost is the price at which more of the ingredient will be used, and the Lo Amount is the amount that will be used at the Lo Cost. The Hi Cost is the price at which less of the ingredient will be used, and the Hi Amount is the amount that will be used at the Hi Cost. 10
Analyzing and Changing Formula Rest: The Restriction cost is what the system determines to be the cost of imposing the restriction. It is calculated using the current cost of the ingredient/nutrient minus the replacement cost. Unrounded: These are the unrounded values. Sensitivity: the cost per ton of the restriction. The Extra cost tells you the difference per ton when the ingredient/nutrient is allowed to change to the E Value, while the Savings displays the cost savings when the ingredient/nutrient is allowed to change to the S Value. Infeasible Formula Are the requirements correct? Did you mistype some requirements, setting them too low or too high or on the wrong items? Did you inadvertently impose contradictory requirements that are mutually exclusive by nature? Are the ingredient composition data complete and correct? Did you omit an ingredient, which is a significant contributor to a key nutrient? Check the Ingedient and Nutrient 11
Parametric Analysis A parametric analysis gives you the ability to view potential changes to a formula in a step-by-step approach. You can perform parametric analysis on a price, ingredient minimum, maximum, nutrient minimum or maximum. Right-click the attribute you wish to analyze and select Perform parametric analysis. Input the Start, Stop and Step Values and click to run the analysis. Parametric Analysis 12
