PIGLETS This has been the cooperative s job for well beyond 100 years. To you, this means that the products we offer are carefully selected in order to provide value for money to the benefit of your earnings/bottom line. From birth to after weaning First day Page 2-3 First week Page week before and after weaning Supplement and equipment Page 6-7 Page 8
First day Colostrum It is best to leave the piglet with the mother sow for a minimum of 12 hours in order to ensure that it gets enough colostrum. Colostrum provides the piglet with the essential antibodies against livestock diseases. From 24 hours to 7-10 days after birth, the piglet can only digest milk. These products make it possible for you to supplement with milk replacer for piglets, for example if a sow has many piglets. Dry piglet AGROSAN DRY OUT 25 KG Immediately after birth, it is extremely important that you prevent the piglet from becoming too cold, as this may be fatal for the piglet, because it has almost no energy reserves to keep warm. An undercooled piglet will weaken and often incur further problems. Perfect litter for the newborn piglet. The powder dries the piglet s skin, preventing it from being undercooled. Furthermore, the scent of the powder will make the piglet feel secure. AGROSAN DRY OUT is ph neutral. It also disinfects the surroundings.. Energy supplement 1 2 VILOPIGLET PROTECT 6 X 250 ML We recommend that you feed 1 ml of VILOPIGLET PROTECT, equivalent to one push on the applicator gun, to all small piglets and to piglets which are born weak. Apply directly in the oral cavity and repeat the process 12 hours later. Provides vitality and energy. Stimulates the piglet s metabolism, which combined with the sow s milk results in faster growth. Tests have shown that the product reduces mortality by up to 50% in underweight piglets. Suckling reflexes improve. The increased vitality helps the piglet find the teats faster and thus enhances the colostrum intake. Iron paste VILOFER IRON PASTE ViloFer Iron Paste is a paste adding probiotics, iron and vitamins all at once. The paste should be applied directly into the oral cavity of the pig, at the back of the tongue. Administer the first dose immediately after colostrum intake. Basic dosage of ViloFer Iron Paste is 1.50 ml per pig per day, equivalent to one push on the applicator gun. The application can be repeated 1-3 times. In special cases of anaemia (iron deficiency) a subsequent dose may be administered after 4-5 days. Dose recommendations for ViloFer Iron Paste should be observed. Iron paste should not be used in the event of acute or subclinical intestinal infections caused by Clostridia and E.coli. Tilsætningsstoffer / L : Enterococcus Faecium (DSM 10663//NCIMB 10415) (4B1707) Bacillus licheniformis (DSM 5749) and Bacillus subtilis (DSM 5750) in a ratio of 1:1 (E1700) Vitamin A Vitamin D3 Vitamin E (α-tocopheryl acetate) Iron from iron(ii) fumerate 5.0 X CFU 2.56 x10 10 CFU I.U I.U mg mg Sprinkle iron AGROFER 15 KG Enough for 750 piglets. Covers the piglets need for iron if 5 portions are provided per litter. Contains lactic acid bacteria, diarrhoea inhibitory substances and vitamins A, D and E. Feed 5 cups (without top) to a litter of 14 piglets. Start on day 2 or 3 after birth, then provide in 1-2 day intervals. Diarrhoea inhibitory. Encourages rooting. No injection damage.
First day Iron supplements When the piglet has received the starter package of colostrum from the sow, ensuring all vital antibodies, it is important to keep the piglet safe over the next period until its own immune system functions. A way of ensuring this is to provide iron. Preferably within the first 24 hours. Iron can be administered by injection, as iron paste, as a liquid or as sprinkle iron. Injection iron VILOFERRON 20% INJ. corresponds to 1 ml containing 200 mg, which is exactly what the piglet needs to ensure a quick and secure start of life. Insert the injection needle in the groin or the neck muscles. No discoloration will occur. Will be absorbed within the first 24 hours after birth. Available in glass or plastic bottles. Liquid iron 3 3 VILOFER LIQUID frequently used in big herds that have a separate watering system for piglets. Usually, 1-2 % is added to the water. The product contains lactic acid, electrolytes and dextrose, which prevent diarrhoea. Recommended for the period between birth and the age of 3-4 weeks. Beneficial during weaning. Does not require HACCP. VILOFER LIQUID ELITEMILK PIGI YOGHURT 15 KG Complete feeding stuff for new-born piglets not only piglets that are born weak Covers all of the piglets nutritional requirements To be provided immediately after the colostrum period Less problems during the transition to solid food Ensures high absorption of dry matter Rich composition and specific yoghurt texture We recommend that you administer it twice a day to all piglets from birth until 1 week prior to weaning. Mixing ratio: 300 g of Pigi Yoghurt: 700 ml of water. 4 VOLAC FARAFIRST For new-born piglets and cold piglets. To be applied from birth to an age of 10 days High content of amino acids and antibodies Strengthens the piglets immune system and vitality Ensures larger and more piglets upon weaning Day 1 10: Ad libitum Dissolve 300 g of FaraFirst in 700 ml of lukewarm water. Fill the water bottle and secure it to the Quanticup. Place the container close to the piglets quarters. The piglets must have free access to Quanticup. Fill up the bottle twice a day. 4 3
First week s s are a good way of ensuring milk for all piglets, for improving weaning weight and for ensuring a good start for the piglets in the climate stable. Our milk replacers are composed from good raw materials such as skimmed milk powder, whey powder and lactose, which are easily digestible by the piglets. The piglets requirements change gradually as they become able to digest more raw materials. Therefore, easily digestible raw materials are important right from the start. The litter size of the sows have grown significantly in recent years. The substantial increase in the number of live-born piglets is obviously positive, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to raise them. In that connection, Elitemilk Pigi Yoghurt is the ideal solution. ELITEMILK PIGI 25 KG for piglets in the farrow barn With 30 % skimmed milk Based on lactic protein and vegetable oil Contains all substances needed by the piglet Can be mixed for one day at a time Mixing ratio: 150 g for 850 ml of water. 1 kg in 6 l of water = 7 l milk. Feeding: Ad libitum Top dressing BABYMILK 18/18 25 KG Supplementary milk for piglets. Whey protein without lactose. A good supplement for piglets being weaned from milk and getting accustomed dry food g are dissolved in 1 litre of C water. Used as supplement for the smallest piglets. Add up to 20 % to piglets dry food or apply as top dressing. 1 FARAMATE 25 KG Acidified milk replacer for piglets To replace or supplement the sow s milk High content of amino acids and antibodies Complements the sow s milking ability Ensures larger pigs during the weaning period FARAMATE is easily soluble and excellent for use in milk cup systems and for feeding in tional milk bowls. tradi- Mixing ratio: 150 g for 850 ml lukewarm water. The mixture will remain stable for up to 24 hours Feeding: Ad libitum 1 2 Milk soup recipe: - 5 litres of water - 1 litre of Baby-Milk 18/18-2 litres of Mix water and milk replacer, stir carefully. Add the prestarter, and stir carefully again. Leave the soup for 5 to 10 minutes prior to feeding. Feed max. 1 litre of the milk soup to 10 piglets twice a day for 7 days. Administer the soup in a long trough that provides room enough for all piglets to eat at the same time. 4

Miya Gold and IgHancer protect the intestinal flora and helps the immune system of small piglets, including during the weaning period. Miya gold adds probiotics that prevent the development of colitis (bowel inflammation) and E coli infections and inhibits salmonella adhesion in intestinal system. 5
1 WEEK BEFORE AND AFTER WEANING The Pigi Meal series has been optimized on the basis of many years of experience with the composition of feeding stuff and feeding schedules for Danish high-yield swine herds. A complete feeding stuff for 3-10 kg piglets, which ensures optimal conditions for the animals. The unique features of Power Pig Mini Safe and Power Pig Yoghurt are their high content of milk and thus also the lactose content, which is easily digestible milk sugar and energy. This is when the production of digestive enzymes begins. Power Pig Yoghurt + Mini Safe have been enriched with 10 % Elitemilk Pigi. 7 1 WEEK BEFORE AND AFTER WEANING The mixtures are adapted to very small piglets before and after weaning. Organic acids, easily digestible raw materials, BioPro Mikro and micro-encapsulated zinc have been added to ensure intestinal health and growth stimulation. The transition period from sow milk to dry food means a radical change for the piglets and it is important to make this transition as easy as possible for them. This can be done by adding milk, either in a trough, softened in their feed or as part of the dry food. During the weaning period, very small piglets will often have difficulties activating the feed dispenser enough to get feed. This hinders feed consumption as well as growth. Therefore, lots of feed should be provided in the piglet enclosure during the first 14 days, so the piglets will have easy access. There is only a slight risk of feed waste, as the piglets are not large enough to cause substantial feed waste. PIGI MEAL 6 (6-10 KG) Designed to give piglets a good start in the climate stable. Period: 7-12 days. Contains Biopro Smart/Base. PIGI MEAL 6 helps give piglets in the climate stable a good start. A good transition is ensured by easily digestible protein sources, an adapted amount of milk products and heat-treated grains, resulting in maximum digestibility. Organic micro-minerals. 3 3 PIGI MEAL 9 (7-12 KG) Designed for optimal growth in the climate stable. Contains Biopro Smart. PIGI MEAL 9 is a low-protein mixture with a high content of essential amino acids, which combined reduce the risk of diarrhoea and ensure optimal growth during the first 1-2 weeks in the climate stable. Easily digestible feed with extra digestive enzymes and organic acids. PRODUCT: RAW PROTEIN RAW FAT ST. DISTR.
