4 Manufacture E&O s bespoke manufacturing facility incorporates 20,000 square feet of dedicated production facilities divided between bottled and plated media. A further 10,000 square foot of warehouse space is used for all the raw material and finished product storage with controlled temperature dispatch/logistics. Extensive product development and quality control laboratories are also located on site. Product formulations, where necessary, are designed to meet international standards and the Harmonized USP/EP/JP pharmacopoeia. Following controlled, pre-defined protocols and preparation instructions, products are sterilised/pasteurised and aloquoted using fully automated production lines for both bottles and plates. Our two clean-rooms suites are validated to ISO class 7 and EU GMP grade C standards with a highly sophisticated dehumidification system guaranteeing perfectly conditioned plated media. Our pharmaceutical media range includes gamma irradiated products that can be supplied in vapour resistant barrier film for ambient storage and also for use in isolator atmospheres. Packaging Following accurate dispensing in a strictly controlled clean-room environment, all refrigerated plated media is automatically packaged in single, double or triple wrapped cellophane film. Alternatively, ambient storage media and media for use in isolator atmospheres can be packed in VHP resistant film. All sterile media is gamma irradiated within 48hours of production. Full validation is available on request. Delivery E&O currently deliver ready to use media, supplements, blood products and serum throughout Europe and the Middle East. We offer our local customers a personal "same day service" in our own dedicated vans within the central belt of Scotland. We also deliver four days a week in our own vans as far as the M62 corridor from Liverpool through to Leeds. All other UK locations are serviced on a standard "next day" service, using carefully selected commercial courier companies. "Timed" deliveries can be booked to suit emergency requirements as well as Saturday morning deliveries. Export consignments will be air freighted or transported by road haulage depending on product sensitivity/type and country location. Full product certification is supplied with each order. We have extensive experience delivering world wide and try to keep your prices to the minimum. All consignments are packed in secure, insulated (cool packed if required) strong well designed cardboard boxes (ambient temperature) to ensure products are not damaged during transportation. E&O's quality assurance department have validated (temperature data logged) information ensuring no degradation of product occurs during the transportation period. Quality Control E&O Laboratories Ltd sub-contracts all routine quality control testing of its manufactured product lines to its sister company E&O Diagnostics Ltd. The facility is located on site and is accredited by UKAS to: ISO/IEC 17025:2005. Quantifiable, representative batch samples are collected during the manufacturing process in accordance with statistical sampling plans which are compliant with BS6001-1:1999 ISO These samples are delivered with sample submission documentation for quality control testing in accordance with: ISO/TS :2009 and ISO/TS :2003 Guidelines on preparation and production of culture media. Quality Assurance E&O Laboratories Ltd is a registered Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Authority (MHRA) supplier of prepared culture media and microbiology products. Clinical products are CE marked in accordance with Directive 98/79/EC of the European Parliament.
