2 2 PREREQUISITES THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE ON ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY, CLINICAL BASIS OF PHYSIOTHERAPHY IN NEUROLOGY AND NEUROSURGERY, KINESISTHERAPY AND PHYSIOTHERAPHY IN NEUROLOGY AND NEUROSURGERY. 3. OBJECTIVES, LEARNING OUTCOMES, CURRICULUM AND TEACHING METHODS 3.1. Objectives of the course C1 C2 Knowledge acquisition within the scope of modern methods of physiotherapy applied in treatment of people with illnesses or injuries of central nervous system. Basic skills acquisition in functional assessment of the patient's condition as well as elaboration and application of rehabilitation programmes. 3.2 LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE SUBJECT/MODULE EK ( learning outcome) EK_01 The content of learning outcome Reference to the learning outcomes for the field of study (KEK) Students know and understand neurophysiology in the scope used in physiotheraphy. K2A_W04 (+) EK_02 Students know special methods of physiotheraphy, i.e. neurorehabilitation methods in the process of physical improvement of adults. K2A_W31(++) EK_03 Students know how to appropriately apply chosen methods in selected functional problems of an adult patient. K2A_UO5 (++) EK_04 Students can use elements of special methods applied in neurorehabilitation of adults. K2A_U20 (++) EK_05 Students can interpret scientific literature with a critical mind. 3 3.3 CURRICULUM A. Laboratories Contents Presentation of characteristic features of a subject and issues covered during classes together with forms of getting a pass. Presentation of basic and extended literature. ICF in an assessment of a patient with symptoms of central nervous system injuries. Presentation of the basis of theoretical methods in a neurophysiological way. Philosophy of methods, neurophysiological foundations, main rules of selected methods. Movement patterns. Presentation and learning of selected techinques. Reeducation of basic movements (spins, squats, standing ups) Practical exam. Functional analysis and learning of walking based on neurophysiological methods. Theraphy with the use of neurophysiological methods in selected functional problems. Presentation of issues of neurorehabilitation after injuries and selected illnesses e.g. spinal cord disorders and discussion on a theraphy. Analysis of scientific literature regarding effectiveness of therapy in discussed disorders. Presentation of issues of neurorehabilitation in stroke patients and discussion on a theraphy. Exam/completion of the semestr 3.4 EDUCATIONAL METHODS 4 METHODS AND CRITERIA OF EVALUATION 4.1 Methods of verification of learning outcomes.
