1 Saturday, February 8, 2014 The 12th Annual Otolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery Update 2014 & The OMA Annual Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery Section Meeting & Alumni & Friends Dinner of Toronto Course Objectives After active participation in this update meeting, participants will be able to: Describe clinical practice guidelines for tympanostomy tubes in children Explain the techniques of ultrasound evaluation of thyroid and parathyroid glands Contrast the management of patients with benign laryngeal pathologies Select appropriate therapies for the management of sudden sensorineural hearing loss Choose the appropriate management algorithm for patients with sinus surgery complications Compare the principles of fillers and injectables in facial rejuvenation Course Description This course is designed for the practicing otolaryngologist who wishes to enhance his or her knowledge on various topics spanning the different subspecialties of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. The material will be presented via didactic lectures followed by audience participation in question and answer sessions along with panel discussions on management of interesting cases. iclickers will be used throughout each session to enhance audience participation. However, for the first year, we need to honour all alumni who graduated in 1988 or earlier.
