Dr. Hara Pattnayak, National President Indian Menopause Society, Cuttack, was the Chief guest while Dr. Jignesh Shah, National Secretary, IMS, Ahamadabad& Dr. Prashant Nimbalkar, Consulting Radiologist and Ex. Major Army, Nagpur were the Guest of honours. Dr. Kancha Sorety was installed as Secretary of Nagpur Chapter by Dr. Hara Pattnayak while Dr. Ujjwala Kedare was installed as joint secretary & Dr Kshama Kedar as Treasurer. On this occasion Continuing Medical Education (CME) - "Red alert- Bleeding in Peri and Post menopausal Women - Save Uterus" was organised in association with Nagpur Obstetric and Gyanecological Society (NOGS)

3 Menopause Awareness & Haemoglobin Detection program was conducted by Dr Ujjwala Kedare Jt Sec IMS, in collaboration with Unique group of Tanishka &NIMA (an association of Aurvedic Drs), on 8 th August 2015, at 3 Siddheshwar Nagar, Kharbi Road, Nagpur. Chief Guest for this programme was Amdar Mr Sudhakar Kolhe and comparator Mangala Gaware CME on Cervical Cancer- Where Are We? was organized in association with NARCHI on 9 th August This was followed by Live workshop on Colposcopy On this occasion Dr. Deepanvita Banerjee (Kolkatta), Dr. Rahul Roy Choudhary (Kolakata) Dr. Sanjay Gandhi (Mumbai) were the guest speakers. Local stalwaords from Nagpur Dr. Nirmala Vaze, Dr. Kasham Kedar, Dr. M Kamal, Dr. Sarita Kothari. Dr. Lina Bire Kalmegh, Dr. Pragati Khalatkat, Dr. Warsha Dhawale highlighted on various topics

5 Sept 2015 at Hotel Ashoka Nagpur. Dr. Amole Raut Head of Neutro genomic unit, Pune spoke about genetics. Dr. Rupa Adatia Dermatologist spoke about Skin & Hair Problems at menopause. Indian Menopause Society, Nagpur Chapter Public forum was organized at Maheshwari Panchayat Bhavan Itwai Nagpur on 10 th Sept women registered for the camp. Lecture on menopause awareness & cervical cancer prevention was taken by Dr. Sortey. Yoga instructor Mrs Lataa Laddha spoke about role of yoga in menopause and she taught relaxation techniques. It was followed by pap smear & BMD Camp. 21 st Sept Publicforum was organized at Krishna Vihar, Narendra Nagar. Dr. Sortey Spoke about Menopause management & cervical cancer prevention. Documentary on breast cancer was also shown, this was followed by BMD Camp

6 Dr. Kanchan Sortey Secretary, IMS Nagpur Chapter. 23 rd May 2015 CME On Obesity And Role Of Yoga In Womens Health Organised By IMSIndiann Menopause Society in association with Nagpur Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society organised a programme on Obesity Management and Role of Yoga in women health on 23 rd May 2015 at Hotel Ashoka, Aath Rastha Chowk, Laxmi Nagar. Dr. Vidyadhar Desai from Mumbai delivered a lecture on Causes, management and ill effects of Obesity which was followed by discussion. Shri Rambhau Khandve Guruji from Yogabhyasi Mandal, Ramnagar, Nagpur explained the role of Yoga in women health. Under his guidance Yog Shikshak demonstrated asanas beneficial for women health, e.g. Bramha Mudra, Shashankasan, Samcharan& Ardhahalasan. He was felicitated at the hands of Dr. Indrajeet Mulik, President. NOGS, Dr. Ujjwala Deshmukh IMS Secretary along with Dr. Sandeep Nikhade, & Dr. Swati Bhave. Shri Rambhau Khandve Guruji & Dr. Ujjwala Deshmukh explained the Asanas scientifically. All doctors appreciated the yogasanas effect on women Health,

7 particularly to manage the stress during this phase of life after 40. Shri Rambhau Khandve Guruji also appealed all doctors to celebrate 21 st June declared by UN as World Yoga Din Dr. Indrajeet Mulik, President. NOGS, made introductory welcome speech. Dr. Pratibha Baheti, Dr. Ujjwala Kedare and Dr. Vishakha Jogdand weree the chairpersons for the session. The session was largely attended by members of NOGS, IMS and general public in large numbers. 20 Feb May Activities of Nagpur Chapter IMS Nagpur Chapter celebrated international women s day week Dt Dr. Ujjwala Deshmukh talk on menopause awareness at Bajaj Nagar 4 th March 2015 awareness programme on sexual harassment at workplace for nurses by Family Counseling center with association with IMS, Nagpur Chapter & NOGS. Dr. Alka Kumar, Dr. Rathod, Mrs. Shabanam Khan social worker guided the nurses on sexual harassment law.

21 Cancer Awareness programe was also organized for the staff of Daga hospital & mental hospital. Dr. Alka Kumar spoke on cervical cancer & Breast Cancer 3 rd March 2015 A Pap smear screening camp was organized at Mental Hospital. 43 patients were examined. Dr. Alka Kumar & Dr. Patil from Dagaa Hospital took the pap smears. 2 nd March 2015 Save Girl Child poster competition was organized for nurses & staff of this institute. Above 40 posters & slogans expedited. Dr. Alka Kumar was the judge for this competition. Three prizes for poster threes for slogan were given Health Camp at Dhandla village (Mauda)Dr. Sulbha Joshi & Dr. Rekha Jaiswal examined the women. 14 th Feb 2015 Cancer Awareness programme was orgnaised by Mahila Mandal of Pannase Lay out, Nagpur.
