3 MEMBERSHIP SERVICES COMMITTEE: The LVAC Progressive Dinner Party scheduled for Saturday, October 6, 2012 has unfortunately been cancelled due to low participation. Please join us for our next membership services activities. Good Afternoon Sorors, The Membership Services Committee will be collecting NEW White Bath towels for Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada. We will be collecting from now until November 17th. Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada was formed to carry on charitable work in the fields of religion, education, and social welfare and continues to carry out the vision and mission by providing services to sustain the human dignity of all persons, fostering social justice, and calling on others to do the same within the counties of Clark, Esmeralda, Lincoln, Nye and White Pine in the state of Nevada. One of their programs is their Shelter Service: Summer Day Shelter, Winter Weather Shelter, Year Round Nigh Shelter and Resident Empowerment Program. Their Shelter Service programs are in need of white towels. Towels are used heavily and deteriorate quickly through heavy use and laundry. They go through towels daily and will need about 1,000 towels to get them through the rest of the year. Please donate standard (NEW) white bath towels to go to Catholic Charities Shelter Service programs. If you have any questions please contact Sorors Kim Pratt, or Tya Mathis, Thank you in advance for your support of this community service project.

Please bring donated shoes to the October 20, 2012 chapter meeting. Your assistance with this community service project is greatly needed and appreciated.
