2 NEUROSURGERY UPDATE Napa, CA The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of California San Francisco, invites you to attend its annual Neurosurgery Update course. The course will be held at the in Napa, California on. The program endeavors to provide the latest updates and recent advances in the field of neurosurgery. Neurosurgeons, neurosurgery residents, nurse practitioners, physician s assistants, and other allied health professionals can benefit from this program in the treatment of neurosurgical problems. Now in its tenth year, it will cover the entire spectrum of neurosurgical topics. OBJECTIVES An attendee completing this course will be able to: Utilize the latest surgical techniques in the management of neurosurgical problems; Appraise the recent data with regard to clinical trials in management of brain tumors; Apply multidisciplinary aspects in the treatment of brain tumors; Predict the role for complex spinal neurosurgery, its indications, and risks; Apply the latest in the management of peripheral nerve disorders; Illustrate the latest in the management of pediatric disorders; Examine the latest in functional neurosurgery, epilepsy, and pain; Incorporate the latest updates in the management of pituitary and endocrine disorders; Determine the nuances cerebrovascular neurosurgery. ACCREDITATION The University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. UCSF designates this live activity for a maximum of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. This CME activity meets the requirements under California Assembly Bill 1195, continuing education and cultural and linguistic competency.
