Letter from Patty. Ans. it. Letter to Roland Meiers. July 3, Fri. Usual work. July 4, Sat. Jerome and Elmer Johnson here at 8 A.M. to plow corn. Roland about 9 to help. Mr. Zevenbergen here, too. Dorothy out to help with Dinner, etc. Don Larson & Dick Johnson helped plow this P.M. Tommys here this P.M., & stayed. Sneak & Bernie stopped. Fred Heibult brought out beer to the field this A.M. & P.M. They finished about 5:30. Plowed 96 A. page 7 Four men for dinner and supper, besides Jeromes family, and Tommys for supper. Tonite Jeromes, Rolands, Tommys, Mr. & Mrs. Heibult & Glenda, Trace, Claus, & Dan, Jim, Donna, and children, & Bob & 4 children here. Latter late for display. All had ice-cream, cake, & coffee. 15 adults 23 children. Sun. July 5 Tommy & I to Early Mass. Evelyn, Peggy & Joe to Sibley to second Mass. Then to clinic to check on injury Joe got on back of head the evening before, and had 3 stitches taken that nite. They left after dinner. Mon. July 6 Nice. Letter to Pattys and Sylvia. Also to Irma & Sylvia. Latter's husband died July 1. Letters from Jack, Patty, Irma, & Rev. Prik. Tues. July 7 Letter to Jack. Mike & Clara here tonite. page 8 July 8. Wed.
