1 Fire Chief Tim Ash Chugwater s Town Fire Chief Tim Ash has been awarded Fireman of the Year for Platte County for Mr. Ash was also named Homeland Security Act Coordinator by Governor Mead for Mr. Ash s dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed or unappreciated. The Town of Chugwater presented Mr. Ash with an award on the Fireman & EMT appreciation dinner July 4th. The residents of Chugwater also chipped in and presented Mr. Ash with a gift card to show gratitude for his service. Thank you, Tim Ash!!!!!! Chugwater Newsletter AUGUST 2014 Friendship Day People all over the world eagerly wait for Friendship day, a day dedicated to friends and companionship. Friendship Day falls on the first Sunday of August each year. The day is celebrated with wishes, gifts, friendship bands and lots of other activities. Friendship Day 2014 will be celebrated on 03 August. A Special Thank You for the helpers at the Fireman & EMT Appreciation Dinner -Thank you Lee & Lisa Anderson for donating the pig, cooking, and serving it. -Thank you Barb Dayton and the Chugwater Soda Fountain for donating the ice. -Thank you Myron Witt for helping coordinate, cooking, and serving. -Thank you to everyone else who helped at the Fireman & EMT Appreciation Dinner. It was a great success and the Town plans on making this an Annual Event!!!!! Fire Danger Use Extreme Caution when driving around in the Town s Tree/Brush pile!! 3 Christmas Village The Month of December the Town of Chugwater is hosting a Christmas Village. We are hoping that every business will get involved and decorate the outside of their building. The goal is to make Chugwater a destination for residents, and travelers to stop and enjoy our displays and spread Holiday Cheer!! If you would like to volunteer please contact the Town Hall. We are looking for donations of lights, paint, plywood, decorations, nails, screws etc National Day of the American Cowboy For the tenth year in a row, the U.S. Senate has declared a National Day of the American Cowboy. This year the day falls on July 26. U.S. Senator Mike Enzi and John Barrasso, both R-Wyo., introduced the resolution that the Senate passed. U.S. Senator Craig Thomas started the tradition of naming the fourth Saturday in July National Day of the American Cowboy in The day is an acknowledgment of the contributions cowboys have made throughout history and the continued impact they have on our nation today.
