2 CHILD CARE SUMMER DAY CAMP Summer Day Camp activities include swimming, arts & crafts, field trips, picnics, nature walks, sports, games, character development activities, and much more! Day camp is open to children entering K-6th grade. (Must be 5 yrs. old) Dates: June 6 - August 10 Time: 7am - 6pm Locations: Holiman K-2nd Austin 3rd-6th Cost: YMCA Members $82.00 weekly Non-Members $97.00 weekly Registration fee $15.00 FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE FOR ALL YMCA PROGRAMS Y Member Child Watch Children between the ages of 6 weeks to 12 years are welcome in the Child Watch area. Each child is allowed to stay up to 2 hours. Child Watch is a free service to Y Members. Please have your membership card to verify membership. Monday-Friday 8am-1:30pm 5pm-8pm Saturdays 9am-1pm AFTER SCHOOL DAY CARE After School Care gives working parents peace of mind by providing supervised care for their children by a professional staff team. We practice the 4 core values: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all of our activities indoor/outdoor, homework time, arts & crafts, games and much more. Snack is provided. This program is licensed through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. During the course of the camp your child will engage in a variety of different activities including instruction, demonstration, corrective feedback and more. CHEERLEADING Registration: May 1 - August 3 Season: September 15 - November 3 (Central & 6-Man Divisions) Season: September 8 - October 20 (South Division) Cost: YMCA Members $20.00 Non-Members $25.00 Squads will cheer for our Youth Tackle League on Saturdays **Registration Fee includes ONLY an end of season award and insurance. 4 SWIM LESSONS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE FOR ALL YMCA PROGRAMS PARENT/CHILD LESSONS Our Parent/Child classes are designed not only to introduce infants to the water but to teach parents simple ways to continue their child s progression throughout their younger years PRESCHOOL AQUATICS PROGRAM Our P.A.P class is designed to help children feel more comfortable in all types of water. Time in the water will consist of very basic swim skills and introduction to swimming drills. LEVEL I & II Our Level I & II classes are for ages 6 and up. Starting with the basics and slowly moving our participants into lap swimming. Younger participants who have taken a proper swimming test by an instructor may join these classes. LEVEL III Level III classes take our Level I & II graduates into more of a workout environment. Taking all that they have learned and fine tuning that to make them into the best swimmers that they can be. SWIM LESSONS ARE HELD TUESDAY AND THURSDAY EVENINGS FOR 4 WEEKS MONTHLY PRICES YMCA Members $25.00 YMCA Non-Members $40.00 *Eight Lessons per 30 min. sessions GYM N SWIM Gym N Swim is an entry level class that focuses on the basic skills involved with gymnastics and swimming. Flexibility, balance and coordination are 3 of the many skills heavily focused upon. Each child will receive a Gym N Swim t-shirt at the end of each session. 6 HEALTH & FITNESS GROUP FITNESS CLASSES Power Up: This awesome class is a fusion of step aerobics and power toning. Simple athletic movements that will help you sculpt the body you want. Power Lunch: This power packed class makes the most of your lunch hour! Using a step for an amazing cardio workout and weights for toning. Group Cycling: This class is a unique, high-energy group workout that utilizes non-impact indoor stationary cycling to inspire you through a workout like no other. It is ideal for a broad range of ages, abilities and fitness levels because each participant personally controls the speed, intensity and duration of each riding interval. Combo Cardio Blast: This class consists of min. of low-impact cardio followed by min. of toning. Cardio Blast: This high-intensity step class consists of power moves and step combinations. It is a true cardio workout with 45 min. of bench work followed by an abdominal workout. Silver Sneakers I : Muscular strength & range of movement Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activity for daily living skills. Zumba : Dance your way to a fitter you with exciting and unique Latin moves and rhythms! Power Yoga: An Ashtanga yoga class that stretches and tones for an overall awesome work out. Turn The Clock Back Yoga: A back to the basics yoga class that focuses on proper breathing, relaxation and low impact stretching. Five Elements Kickboxing: This is a real kickboxing training that combines Strength, Cardio, Self Defense, Boxing and Korean Martial Arts into an intense workout. Make Exercise A Habit and Get Fit! Here are some of the top tips to make an exercise habit stick, so you can stay fit forever. Listen to Your Favorite Music The first way to make an exercise habit so you lose weight for good is to listen to your favorite music. Music can be an extremely powerful motivator. Try to choose upbeat music that makes you want to keep a steady pace when you exercise. Set Non-Food Rewards This could be something like a manicure at your favorite nail salon, a full-hour massage, a new workout wardrobe, or a movie night out with a loved one. Set these rewards so they happen every two to three weeks of sticking with your regular workouts. Make It Social When we do things with others, we are far more likely to become committed because we know other people are relying on us to participate. In addition to that, we tend to enjoy the activity more. Vary Your Choice of Activities Try and incorporate at least three different types of workout activities into your daily routine. This could be one kickboxing class, one aerobics class, one boot camp, and one circuit-style weight lifting workout. All of these activities will work different aspects of your fitness level, and will help you get over any type of boredom you associate with your exercise routine. Participate in an Event Another good way to increase your motivation to exercise is to set a goal to race in an event. Most people really enjoy their experience in these events and many people find themselves participating in more and more throughout their lifetime. Fixed Term memberships are available for those who choose not to pay by automatic bank draft or annually. All fixed term memberships will need to be renewed at the end of the fixed term (ex: 30, 60, 90 days) membership. Un-renewed memberships in excess of 30 days will require another joining fee to be paid upon renewal. The YMCA accepts payment by cash, check, money order, VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover for fixed term and annual payments. Members may add an adult, living in the home, to any Family or Single Parent Family membership for an extra $21.00 a month. Guest Fees Non-Members of the San Angelo YMCA may use the facility and attend classes as a guest. Those guests accompanied by a YMCA member pay a fee of $2.00 for youth and students and $4.00 for adults. Those guests not accompanied by a YMCA member pay a fee of $4.00 for youth and students and $6.00 for adults. This fee gives all guests member privileges for the day and full access to the facility. All guests must provide photo I.D.
