1 THE CAMPUS REC QUARTERLY Volume, Issue 1 Winter 018 DILLON GYM: WINTER REPAIRS In an attempt to continue to offer the best recreational facilities possible, Campus Rec recently scheduled several improvement projects in Dillon Gym during the winter recess. While you might have only noticed the significant upgrade that s being done to the main gym floor (pictured below), major repairs to the floors are also taking place in the Group Fitness Room, Multi- Purpose Room and Dance Studio. Additionally, a large portion of Dillon Gym got a much-needed facelift via help from our colleagues in the Paint Shop. A fresh coat of paint is noticeable throughout Dillon! TIGER TROT: COMMUNITY OUTREACH IN ACTION On November 17, Campus Rec hosted the 10th annual Tiger Trot for Hunger. Every fall, the 5k run and walk is put on to engage our campus community in a fun and healthy way to benefit those in need. Thank you for another awesome event and we hope to see you again next year, arm in arm! (Pictures of the event are on page 5.) This year s event proved wildly successful with its 75 participants producing $776.5 in collected cash donations and 7 pounds of food for the pantry of Arm In Arm. Our donations helped to make a direct impact on the lives of more than 11,000 people of all ages who turn to Arm In Arm in difficult times. Many departments from across the university were represented, including Human Resources; Facilities; Public Safety; and Environmental Health and Safety. 1 IN THIS ISSUE...
