2 Page 2 PRESIDENTS MESSAGE H appy February members - it was nice to see a full room at last months meeting. I would like to give a special thanks to Spago Ristorante for their support of great food along with pricing. I would like to thank Corey Castellan our member who for the last few months volunteered his time to taking care of the CIBPA Centre and if you see please thank him personally. Corey I wish you the best on your new endeavours. Members if you request to speak at the microphone regarding a subject please speak on that item only, especially when we have guests present. Our annual golf tournament is in process of setting a date late May or early June, hopefully we can announce the date at Tuesday s meeting. Our National Federation of CIBPA quarterly meeting Feb 8, 2014 in Toronto was well attended by the chapters, retired senator Consiglio Di Nino is working on recognition of Canadians in Italian cemeteries through the program Peace through Valour. We have some positive information on upgrading our website as other Chapters are joining the same program. I hope to see many of you Tuesday at the CIBPA Centre. We like to thank Mr. Patrick Ducharme of Ducharme Fox LLP for his presentation last month. We raised approximately $1, for various charities and scholarships for our community. A great success. In fact, our very own CIBPA member 'Joe Sasso" became our first CIBPA Charitable Poker Champion. Congratulations Joe. I am sure you will share your Poker wisdom with all our members. Great Playing. I would like to first thank, the CIBPA Poker Committee, for there assistance and guidance in putting this event on. Congratulations Luciano Mancini and Corey Castellan. I must thank the volunteers that night as well. Nadia DiDomencio, Luciana Pannunzio, Jenny Minello, and Antonella Toppi for being our 'Poker dealers". Job well done. I like to thank Niva Segatto for her administrative assistance and Remo DiPalo for being our 'Pit Boss" that night. Great job! Without question, The Poker committee thanks all the 32 participants that night for their support as well, of which 1/3 were CIBPA members. Great turn out! I believe based on the feedback given to the committee that everybody had a great time. Lastly, I am sure the Poker committee is already planning our second event. So CIBPA members, stay tuned and don't forget " Know when to Hold'em and when to Fold'em, Aces Up".!!!
