3 FILE OF LIFE DISTRIBUTION THANK YOU to Pat Kane for supplying 1000 File of Life packets. Peter Van Stratum and Bobby Brown, early volunteers for File of Life packets, Valentine s Day, Jan.- Feb Visiting Report We started the visiting year with a blizzard, but still managed to end up with a reasonable number of patients visited. January- February visitors were: Katherine Beach Bobby Brown-2 Tim Crane (3) Ken and Maryse Ethier (2) Jeanne Shepardson (3) Bob Silverberg (4) Thank you January-February visitors! Total Visits for January-February: 43 CCH Wards- 22 CVPA Visiting Area 6 Falmouth Hospital Rehab. 15 We are now starting participation in a National Mended Hearts Patient Survey lasting through May and likely into June. It is the first time Mended Hearts has formally reached out to patients visited, asking if our visits are helpful, positive and informative, and if we should add to or can improve any aspect of our visits. We are still in need of new active visitor volunteers. If you are at all interested in becoming a Mended Hearts Visitor, or learning more about the visiting program, let me know. Visitors must be Mended Hearts members in good standing, qualified as Cape Cod Hospital Volunteers, complete our Mended Hearts Training Program and have had some form of heart surgery or be heart surgery patient caregivers. Do you ever wonder that if you d been 10 seconds earlier, or 10 seconds later, the auto accident would never have happened? Do you ever wonder what your life would be like if you didn t marry the person you did? Here s one more question for you. Do you realize that EVERYTHING you ve ever done in your entire life has lead you to being here, now, reading this? Far fetched? Silly? No. Because here you are, now, reading this.
