First of all, we did manage to sell all of our trophy packs, which was a great first step toward running in the black. The raffle took in almost $400 more than last year, thanks to our newly instituted Super Raffle. We spent $260 for the kits for the super raffle and Fausto Hamden donated the airbrush, so we realized a small profit there. Next year we will keep the same format and keep the finances separate so we will be better able to tell which tickets were more popular. We made the mistake of combining the banks before counting them. Hindsight is 20/20 vision, so they say! The White Elephant table only brought in $8, so we will not have one again. We can make more money selling the table to a vendor, and the labor used to man it can be used better elsewhere. So the short version is that we were in the black by a little over $900! Not too shabby for our meager band! We held our election of officers. Since no one else volunteered or was nominated, a motion was made to elect the sitting board. The motion was seconded, voted on, and passed. Some of our members went to the Baycon show. Most of the vendors were collection cleaners, and there were plenty of good deals available. The general opinion was that our show was better, especially the raffle. Also, it snowed like heck! Mac and a couple of the western guys put on a make and take for the Cub Scouts in their town. I have put a couple of pictures I was sent in this newsletter. They bought their kits direct from Revell, and got them right away with no problems. We have still not received the kits we ordered for Granitecon through IPMS. This month Mac and Keith will be doing a short demo on snow as it relates to their modeling efforts. Also, start thinking about a theme for Granitecon. We want to get this decided upon so we can get flyers made up for the spring shows. We shall also discuss our special awards. We had everything taken care of earlier than usual for 2014, and the executive board believes that was a good part of the reason we had such a successful show in October. The executive board also decided that having a Hobby Emporium gift certificate in the raffle mix a

2 few times a year was a good idea and will continue for Ideas about another round of pass the trash stash will be considered, along with a couple of more ideas to get members building more. 3 November Show and Tell Pictures Icie Cook built her 1/72 nd Moebis Battlestar Galactica Viper Mk VII out of the box. Chuck Converse showed us his 1/72 nd MPC SM 79 Italian Torpedo Bomber. Tony D Anjou used Model Master paints on this 1/35 th Italeri M4 Sherman Tank.

4 Rod Currier finally finished his pass the trash 1/35 th Italeri STEYR Tractor. Paul Lessard used natural tree materials and commercial figures to construct his 1/87 th Hikers In The Woods scratch built diorama. Guy Lessard added new stirrup steps and couplers to his 1/87 th Roundhouse 36 Reefer.
