Please read below to see what s up! ~SIOUX CENTER HEALTH HOSTS COLLINGSWORTH FAMILY CONCERT In commemoration of the opening of Sioux Center Health, the public is invited to a free concert by the Collingsworth Family at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center, IA, on Sunday evening, June 22 at 6:00pm. Doors will open at 5:00pm. This concert represents just one more way to say thank you to our communities for their prayer and financial support of our health ministry especially throughout our building project. Allison is a Dordt graduate and was most recently the hotel manager at Grand Falls Casino Resort. Allison and her husband have two children and one on the way. ~ Congratulations to Seasons Center for Behavioral Health for being awarded a two-year grant from the Iowa Department of Public Health, Division of Behavioral Health, to offer substance abuse treatment services that address the unique cultural characteristics of individuals and families from diverse backgrounds in rural northwest Iowa. ~Congratulations to Wireless World for celebrating their one-year anniversary as a business in our community! ~Renae s Salon and Spa is pleased to announce the addition of two new staff. Emily Larson has been hired as a massage therapist who specializes in pressure point therapy and Josie (Boogerd) Elbers has returned to the salon as a stylist after moving away and is now enjoying getting settled back in Sioux Center. ~Promise Community Health has recently been awarded two grants. A $1000 Ronald McDonald House Charities Grant will provide education for patients and families on how to maintain good oral health. They also received a $24,000 Susan G. Komen Siouxland Affiliate Grant. This is the third year of Komen grant funding for Promise Community Health Center. The Grant project seeks to reduce the incidence of breast cancer and mortality due to breast cancer in Sioux and Lyon counties. Congratulations! ~ At The Fruit Club, summertime means CHERRY and PEACH time! Their Washington Bing Cherries and Georgia Peaches are some of their most popular fruits and will be coming straight to you very soon! She will open the firm s new Sioux Center office on June 2, Amanda will practice out of the Sioux Center office full time.
