2 Happy Bright and Shiny New Year! I hope this newsletter finds you all happy and safe. I know that we have all made our resolutions, eat better, lose weight, save money. I know that this group does not have to make the resolution to work harder because if you are in this industry it goes without saying that you work hard. I hope you accomplish all of the goals you have set for this year. Our December meeting was a small one held at Coyote Sam s. I want to thank the members that came out for that lunch and the members that were able to make it to the nursing home to deliver the gifts. All of the people that received the gifts were very much appreciative of their gifts. Our meeting this month will be on Friday, January 20th at Hollytree. Don t make people struggle to figure out what you want. Put arguments next in digestible chunks. Make them of similar format and sentence structure. Don t waste time with extraneous words (or issues). Bolster each argument with a simple, verifiable fact. Repeat your conclusion as a call to action spelling out the reader s next step. If you truly want a cabin in the mountains, you will need to go find the mountain, find out how much that cabin costs now and how much it will cost later.

Someday is the problem. Your goal isn t specific so it s not likely to happen. If you truly want a cabin in the mountains, you will need to go find the mountain, find out how much that cabin costs now and how much it will cost later. Then you need to determine how much to save per month. If you do that, you will probably get a cabin. If you don t, it probably won t happen. Goals are necessary. 9 People frequently ask me, How can I possibly simplify my life? I m working too hard. I m moving too fast. My life is too complicated for me to take the time to stop and simplify. I know exactly what they mean. My life was that complicated. But finally, as many of us have, I reached the point of desperation. I had to start making some changes, and begin to simplify my life. It begins with a simple step: To start simplifying, first decide that you really want to simplify, and then schedule time to think about it. They need parents who take the time to show them, teach them, nurture then. They need to be made our priority, even when it s inconvenient. They need the long-term commitment of quantity time rather than a quick fix of quality time (which is an extremely overused and counterproductive cliché).
