Our Annual General Meeting brings together housing co-op members, managers and board directors. One of the largest non-profit housing association conferences in Canada, over 700 participants attend the AGM to learn, network and discuss the issues facing the co-op housing sector. Diversity Scholarships support emerging leaders in housing co-ops in their pursuit of post-secondary education and provide sponsors with top-level visibility in certain regions. Greener Co-op Microgrants support projects in co-op communities that help the environment. This quickly growing program provides sponsors with national visibility and brand recognition with meaningful projects. Our tradeshow provides valuable face-to-face time with members at our AGM. 3 Annual General Meeting Our Annual Meeting attracts co-op housing members, board directors, co-op housing managers, management company staff, goods and services providers, media, and representatives from all three levels of government. The 2019 Annual Meeting will be taking place June 5 8, 2019 in London, ON. Diversity Scholarships recognize young people who are actively promoting diversity in their community. These young co-op members represent some of the most committed, bright and engaged young co-op leaders across the country. Since this program started in 2014, CHF Canada has distributed $30,000 in diversity scholarships to help co-op members in their post-secondary pursuits. By becoming a Diversity Scholarship sponsor, you ll help us recognize and support the incredible young people that live in our housing co-op communities. Greener Co-op Microgrants In 2017, fourteen housing co-ops across Canada received over $40,000 in Greener Co-op Microgrants. The grants funded a variety of projects including community gardens, energy audits, bike storage upgrades and LED lighting retrofits. If your organization has a focus on sustainability, help us expand our Greener Co-op Microgrant Program so that more co-ops across Canada can access the grants. We exist to represent and serve our members, and lead a united Canadian co-operative housing movement. We bring together more than 1,000 members and associates, including almost 900 non-profit housing co-operatives, as well as organizations that are closely linked with housing co-operatives. 8 Descriptions All sponsorship levels $10,000 and above include recognition as a program sponsor in our diversity scholarship program. Sponsorship features include logo recognition in program materials and on social media. AGM Title Sponsor: $25,000 Our title sponsor is paramount to the success of our AGM and will help inform the flavour of this year s AGM. Sponsor features include logo placement on all AGM materials and banners, six full registrations, and first right of refusal on the conference lanyards or tote bags. AGM Lunch: $20,000 Close to 650 participants attend the AGM lunch, making it one of our most well-attended and eagerly anticipated events. Sponsorship features include a speaking opportunity, logo displayed onscreen, and prominent signage during the lunch. AGM Breakfast: $15,000 New this year, we ll be offering a grab and go breakfast to all AGM attendees. Sponsorship features include an exclusive social media video of your choosing (1,600 Facebook followers, 2,700 Twitter followers, 320 Instagram followers) and prominent signage at breakfast. Delegate tote bags: $10,000 THE item that all delegates tote along during and after the conference. Makes for a great souvenir and long-term visibility for your organization. Includes colour logo on one side. AGM Dinner: $15,000 Our AGM Dinner is considered by many attendees to be the highlight of the AGM. Sponsorship of the dinner includes your logo and name on dinner cards, logo on-screen, and a speaking opportunity as we hand out a special door prize during the dinner program. 7

9 Awards Program Sponsor: $10,000 each or $20,000 for three Each year, CHF Canada celebrates accomplishments in co-operative housing by presenting awards to co-ops and individual members. The Awards Program includes: The Award for Co-operative Achievement, which recognizes an inspiring achievement by a member co-op. Honorary Life Associate, awarded to an individual who has dedicated their life s work to the co-operative housing sector. The Award for Outstanding Contribution to Co-operative Housing is given to an individual who has gone above and beyond for Canada s housing co-ops. Sponsor features include logo in all materials, on website, and on-screen during presentation of award. Member Networking Lunch: $7,500 Always popular and sold-out year after year, the Member Networking Lunch provides members the chance to connect and discuss a topic of importance over a delicious lunch. Includes recognition from the podium. Registration and translation: $7,500 The first point of contact for AGM attendees, registration and translation offers top-level visibility for your organization. Sponsorship features include exclusive logo recognition on the registration and translation signs. Workshop streams: $5,000 (multiple available) CHF Canada will work with you to select the workshop stream that best fits with your organization. Sponsor features include logo placement beside workshop streams in program and on website. Welcome Reception: $5,000 All AGM attendees are invited to the Welcome Reception to kick things off. Sponsorship features include an exclusive social media video message (1,600 Facebook followers, 2,700 Twitter followers, 320 Instagram followers) and signage at the reception. Member Loyalty Reception: $5,000 A special reception for member co-ops receiving their 20-, 30-, or 40-year Loyalty Award. Regional Meeting: $5,000 (5 available) All members convene for Regional Meetings to discuss topics of importance and receive updates from their regional director. An excellent sponsorship opportunity to reach specific regions of our membership (BC, Alberta, Manitoba/ Saskatchewan, Quebec, Atlantic). Sponsorship features include logo visibility on video screen outside meeting room and social media recognition. Co-operative Management Conference Opening Plenary and Lunch: $5,000 Sponsor the kick-off event for over 140 co-op managers. Includes title sponsorship, opportunity to address participants, and leading an icebreaker. Local Sightseeing and Co-op Tour: $5,000 This event sells out quickly and is a hit with AGM attendees. A great way for members to see local co-ops and landmarks in London, ON. Includes recognition from the tour leaders and logo in AGM materials. 10 Charging station: $3,000 Keep our members connected! Brand a charging station placed in a high-traffic area at the venue. Sponsorship features include prominent logo visibility throughout the conference. Coffee Break Sponsor: $3,000 (7 available) Sponsors can choose from one of seven coffee breaks available for conference attendees. Sponsorship includes signage at the coffee station areas and the eternal gratefulness of conference attendees. Animation at Pre-dinner Reception: $3,000 Always a hit with conference attendees, animation at our pre-dinner reception in the past has included magicians, portrait artists and photo booths. CMC Town Hall: $3,000 Featuring an energizing keynote speaker, the CMC Town Hall is a not-to-be missed event for over 120 co-op managers. National Business Meeting snack: $2,500 Sponsor a much-needed snack for 700 attendees during the national business meeting. Includes logo in AGM materials and on website. Ontario Business Meeting snack: $2,000 Sponsor a refreshing snack for over 450 members during their Ontario business meeting. Includes logo in AGM materials and on website. Workshop Leaders Reception: $1,500 A reception that recognizes the incredible workshop leaders who contribute so much to the conference. Includes logo recognition and thanks from the evening s host. Emerging Leaders Meet & Greet: $1,500 This fun and low-key gathering brings together young members to mix and mingle at the AGM. Sponsorship features include your zap banner at the reception and a special shout-out on social media. Greener Co-op Microgrant: $1,000 (unlimited) Support the efforts of co-ops across Canada to reduce their impact on the environment. Includes social media recognition and hyperlinked logo on our website. Young Member Bursary: $650 (unlimited) Young members form a key part of our movement and are the current and future leaders. Help us achieve our goal of sending over 50 young members to attend the AGM. Includes logo recognition in the AGM dinner slides. Diversity Scholarship: $500 (unlimited) Support the post-secondary pursuits of some of Canada s best and brightest young co-op leaders. Sponsorship features include social media recognition and logo recognition in the program. Co-operative Management Conference reception and mini tradeshow: $325 (8 available) Mingle with over 150 co-op managers and staff at this exclusive reception and tradeshow. 11 Tradeshow The tradeshow at our annual meeting connects you with our members and is a great way to showcase your products. Space is limited on a first-come, first-served basis. The tradeshow is included for sponsors who contribute $7,500 or more. Tradeshow schedule Move-in Friday June 7, :00 a.m. 8:00 a.m. Display hours Friday June 7, 2019 Saturday June 8, :00 a.m. 4:45 p.m. 8:30 a.m. 3:30 p.m. Move-out Saturday June 8, :30 p.m. Included in your tradeshow price: 8 draped table and two chairs, or equivalent space. Not included in your fee: Audio-visual equipment, booth set-up, exhibitor insurance, food, and material handling. Cancellations must be submitted by to Salam Kawadri, at skawadri@chfcanada.coop. Cancellations received after March 31, 2019 may be subject to full payment. 10

12 Tradeshow policy There will be an area for a tradeshow at each annual meeting. Guidelines for tradeshow booths 1 The fee for a tradeshow booth will be: a. Included in sponsorship packages at $7,500 or greater b. Non-profit or co-operatives $700 (at cost) + HST c. Non-sponsor: $1,750 + HST 2 CHF Canada must receive full payment two weeks prior to the annual general meeting. 3 CHF Canada will decide whether or not you can set up a booth. CHF Canada may refuse tradeshow space if we feel that the content: a. May offend people attending the conference b. Is taking a partisan political position c. Does not fit CHF Canada s principles and objectives 4 Tradeshow booths will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority placement of tables given to sponsors at $7,500 and above. 5 CHF Canada will not be responsible for theft or damage to tradeshow booths. 6 CHF Canada will contact you before the meeting to let you know: a. Where to put your booth b. When to set up your booth c. When to take down your booth 7 The London Convention Centre does not allow food or beverage distribution or sales from the tradeshow booths. The exception to this policy are items that are small and would not be seen as snack items such as gum, mints, or small chocolate bars, which can be handed out to participants. 8 Exhibitors are allowed to sell other items (that are not food or beverages) from their tables as long as it is within reason. CHF Canada reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of items for sale from a tradeshow booth. 9 If a dispute about anything in this policy comes up during the annual meeting, CHF Canada will decide how to resolve it. 11

17 Key dates and guidelines Sponsors: Complete the attached order form by January 15, 2019 Reserve your sponsorship opportunity by completing the attached application form and to your company logo and URL link by January 15, a jpeg and vector file (Adobe Illustrator or.eps) of your company s logo (in both colour and black and white), URL link and social media handles to cmitchell@chfcanada.coop. Participant registration All approved exhibitor/sponsor representatives planning to be a conference participant will need to register. 18 Additional information Eligibility CHF Canada will make every effort to meet sponsor requests. CHF Canada will determine the eligibility and suitability of any application to participate in the 2019 CHF Canada AGM, tradeshow, or advertising program in the meeting information book. If for any reason an application is denied, refunds will be made in full. Confirmation Please remit your completed application form to Cynthia Mitchell, to secure your sponsorship. Applications received after the deadline of January 15th, 2019 may not secure their first choice. Sponsorship choices are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with some options held back for previous year s sponsors. Payment You will be invoiced by prior to the AGM.
