6 PARISH NEWS LOURDES CARE Lourdes Care is a group of volunteers who seek to help those in need within the local community. This encompasses non-recurrent support in the areas as stated below. If you are needing short term or emergency care in any of the following areas please contact the relevant coordinators. Visiting; Judy Transport & Meals; Laurie Family Support and Home Help; Ana and Cathy Gardening/Handyman/Bereavement; Glenda News from Our Lady of Lourdes Plenary Council of the Whole Catholic Church in Australia The Bishops of Australia decided that a plenary council will be held in A plenary council is an opportunity for the whole church in Australia to reflect on where we are and discuss where we want to be in the future and how. It is a gathering of representatives of all dioceses and segments of the Church, to give the widest possible representation. The whole church will be asked to contribute actively in it. While a wide consultation is being planned, we can start praying about it and getting ready to share our thoughts.

Your efforts will help to support the good works of Vinnies throughout the community, such as the provision of bedding, clothing and food to those experiencing hardship, and providing shelter for the homeless. In turn, you can enjoy a range of benefits proven to be associated with volunteering, such as an increase in well-being, happiness, health and longevity! As a volunteer for this Op-shop you will always be active and engaged, with your experience including a wide variety of tasks such as; decorating, sorting donations, customer service, selling and much more!
