Reber Mindy Ward Martha Wheeler Erich Weinlander Kathy Zacharias Programs and Services: Domestic Violence: Advocates provide information on domestic violence and options available to victims in Lucas, Wood and Ottawa Counties. Advocates accompany victims to court, assist with safety planning and link victims to other community resources. Help Me Grow: A home visitation program designed to assist families who are expecting a baby or have children up to age three. Service Coordinators help parents build a positive, healthy and safe home for their children by helping parents understand their child s development, provide practical parenting information, and identifying other community resources. : A child friendly site where professionals conduct joint investigative interviews of child abuse victims. Crisis counseling, family advocacy and court preparation services are available for child victims and their families. Children Who Witness Violence: Children who have witnessed violence receive in-home crisis intervention services. The goal of the program is to help children overcome the trauma of violence and to minimize the effects of exposure to violence. CAPP/SAPP: The Child Abuse Prevention Program and Sexual Abuse Prevention Program are school based programs designed to help students recognize dangerous and abusive situations and how to seek help from trusted adults. DELTA Project: A cooperative community collaboration dedicated to addressing the key issues related to violence and creating meaningful and lasting changes throughout the community that lead to peaceful, healthy relationships. PROJECT ACCESS: A partnership between Lucas County Department of Jobs and Family Services (LCDJFS) and Family and Child Abuse Prevention Center. The Center provides on-site case managers at LCDJFS who assist victims of domestic violence by assessing the client s risk of lethality, working to develop customized safety plans and providing linkages to other community resources.
