I have great news We have once again been selected for a Levels of Excellence Award!! Jeff and I will pick it up at the MOAA National Meeting which is to be held in Orlando, FL in October. TJ Staffieri, our VP-Programs sends you this message: As the summer comes to a close, don t forget about our upcoming event at Boordy Vineyards on August 29 th, 6:30-9:30pm! If you have not attended a Saturday night event at Boordy s, please don t miss this one. It promises to be a great opportunity to enjoy good music, food and of course the camaraderie of our local Chapter. Winetasting is free and available most of the night. You can bring food, picnic tables, chairs, tents, etc., or just a blanket to sit on. Food is also available for purchase from The Corner Pantry of Baltimore on site. We will be listening to the sounds of the Mahoney Bros., Jukebox Heroes Live (Beatles, Neil Diamond, Bee Gees, Buddy Holly Everly Bros and many more. Check out their webpage for more information. Gates open at 5:15 and performances start at 6:30. Admission is $20, but they are waving the admin fee for our group and giving us discounts on wine. I anticipate that the BOD will authorize payment of $10- $15 per attendee from Chapter funds, and so expect the cost will be less than $38. However, the BOD does not meet again until September 1 st. If you will commit to attend the luncheon, please return the reservation form to me at the address listed. We will notify you of the required payment after the BOD meeting. Once we know how many members and spouses will be attending we will work out transportation, but it will likely be the same or similar to past years carpool to the MARC train.
