48 U3A Group Ethos Please remember that the U3A ethos is By the Members For the Members. Being part of a team running a group need not be onerous or time consuming. Don t be afraid of volunteering, it s fun. You will make new friends, increase your skills and expand your social life. We are all volunteers and we need more to continue to expand and develop our brilliant 750 strong U3A. We have eight new groups opening at present taking our total number of groups to 58. How good is that? So come on you guys and gals, step forward and help us. Your U3A needs you!

49 BEESTON U3A NEEDS YOUR HELP!

50 Beeston U3A Needs You Without willing volunteers our U3A would not be so successful. If you have benefited from the work of our Group Leaders please consider becoming one yourself.

51 University Contacts For some time now, Beeston U3A Committee have been trying to make contact with Nottingham University with a view to forging links between our group and the University. Steve Austin and Richard Eddleston are leading this initiative and despite sterling efforts, have had no success so far. We wondered if any of our members have any contacts within the University that they could put us in touch with to see if any progress can be made. If you have a contact, please let Steve or Richard know on stephen.austin@ntlworld.com or riedd@btinternet.com
