If you have a reason why you can t get to Group meetings but still wish to be a member. Four nonnotified absences in a row will result in your name being removed from that group and the place open to someone else.

13 Christmas Visit - 29 November pm Performance. International performers involved in this Spectacular to honour "the few" and mark 75th anniversary of Battle of Britain. This will include marching bands, Field Gun competition and much more. Spectacular Grand Finale will feature over 1,000 performers and guest vocalists, who will be led by the Royal Air Force Cosford Queen's Colour and Escort to perform the traditional Land of Hope and Glory and Closing Ceremony. 14 Elizabethan Experience at the Globe Theatre London 18 January A behind the scenes guided tour of this wonderful theatre. Includes: The Globe Exhibition, Elizabethan Dressing Demonstration, Rose and Bankside Guided Tour Globe Theatre Guided Tour, Tea/coffee and biscuits. Cost per person. Forms available from Lucy. 16 Trip to Highclere Castle and Gardens (Downton Abbey) Saturday 30 th July 2016 to Sunday 31 st July 2016 One overnight stay at the Apollo Hotel, Basingstoke Guided tour starts at am 31 st July 2016 Cost: per person, per person single supplement. Rooms still available. Any unsold places will be returned and offered to other groups after end of November 2015.

23 History Group.is alive and kicking The History Group will continue to meet on the second Friday in the month at 10am. The new contact person is Ron Jones ( Other members of the organising team are Georgina Lyons (Treasurer) Judith Foxton and Margaret Jones. An updated membership list is on the History Table In the Hall. Members should check their names are included.

24 More About the History Group Questionnaire It is expected that the group will be more participatory than previously. A questionnaire has been circulated to determine Members interests and willingness to participate. The response will feature at the next Group Meeting on November 13 when the programme for the rest of the session will be considered.

28 The Poetry Group Thank you to all the people who support this group We are growing as a group which is marvellous but can still take more people who love to read and discuss poets and poetry. Our next meeting (17th November at 1:30) is on the Poet Browning

29 Practical Gardening Instead of having our normal meeting in November, we are joining with the Garden Visits group next week on WEDNESDAY November 11th when there is a speaker from Woodthorpe Park coming to talk to all of us about the work that goes on there. Please note that I have also altered the date of our meeting in December as it was very close to Christmas. So we are meeting a week earlier than normal,on Monday 14th December when we will spend some of that morning making a Christmas wreath before celebrating the festive season!

32 Scottish Country Dancing Sue and Andrew Morrison are planning to run an eight week "taster" course at the CRMC hall on Thursday mornings from 14th January 2016 on weeks when there is no monthly meeting.
