12 BEESTON U3A TRIPS OUT ORGANISED BY LUCY BEARDSLEY

13 Christmas Visit - 29 November pm Performance. International performers involved in this Spectacular to honour "the few" and mark 75th anniversary of Battle of Britain. This will include marching bands, Field Gun competition and much more. Spectacular Grand Finale will feature over 1,000 performers and guest vocalists, who will be led by the Royal Air Force Cosford Queen's Colour and Escort to perform the traditional Land of Hope and Glory and Closing Ceremony. Cost: Ticket and coach See Lucy.

23 History Group.is alive and kicking The History Group will continue to meet on the second Friday in the month at 10am. 24 More About the History Group Questionnaire It is expected that the group will be more participatory than previously. A questionnaire has been circulated to determine Members interests and willingness to participate. The response will feature at the next Group Meeting on November 13 when the programme for the rest of the session will be considered.

29 Practical Gardening Instead of having our normal meeting in November, we are joining with the Garden Visits group next week on WEDNESDAY November 11th when there is a speaker from Woodthorpe Park coming to talk to all of us about the work that goes on there. Please note that I have also altered the date of our meeting in December as it was very close to Christmas. So we are meeting a week earlier than normal,on Monday 14th December when we will spend some of that morning making a Christmas wreath before celebrating the festive season!
