Home of Your Own Presenter: Marie Malinowski Through the DDSO & LDA of WNY, I learned the steps to own my own home you can do it too! 4.) Disability History and Why It s So Important Presenters: Jake Johnson and Alon Berger of Disability History SA Group Learn why disability History is important to them through their personal stories (resources provided) 14.) Financial Strategies for People with Disabilities Presenters: James Traylor, Bruce Marche, Marilyn Scott 15.) We Have Choices Presenters: Caitlin Weir, Kim Henchen, Allen Fontaine Covers common challenges and solutions: health insurance, Medicaid Buy-In so you can work, Supplemental Needs Trust, saving money beyond Medicaid limits All Self Advocates have the right to make their own choices in Life. SANYS Registration Deadline is May 11, Absolutely no registrations will be accepted after this deadline. A limited number of partial scholarships are available on a need basis. To request a scholarship contact Sue O Hearn at in the Finger Lakes Region or Sophia Roberts at in the Western Region. Register Soon! Space is limited! Walk-ins will not be accepted. Staff/Support people must register separately.
