Approval of the Agenda: Gay Straight Alliance motioned to approve the Minutes as is. Cascadia Activities Board seconded the motion. All in favor 11/0/0. Motion is passed. V. Special Guests: N/A VI. Officer Reports: A. Jae Yu B. Kimberley Dunlap i. Second handbook training on November 17th at 5:30 pm a. Kim will let the clubs know when the room is reserved. Every club needs to sign up for handbook training. The Club Handbook Training sign up sheet is available at the meeting. b. Program proposal forms - Input 1. Not a lot of clubs have filled out the form. Minimal feedback was given due to not a lot of clubs using it yet. Fencing Club

Student Life Website i. Nothing has been voted upon yet. However, this change will happen soon. Therefore, clubs should be aware of this upcoming change. a. All of the information that was previously on MyKody is now available on the Cascadia Website. (Under student life, Clubs ). A form is being worked on to request where/how clubs would like an event, etc. to be advertised. All club forms are available in the accordion drop down menu on the Clubs page. More information will be added to the page, but Becky wanted to provide the available information at the meeting. Any questions about the various forms should be presented to either Shandy, Becky, or CSG. VIII. B. Shandy Stomieroski Club Reports: A. Cascadia Activities Board
4 i. Nicole talked about the success of past events. A House Competition (Harry Potter Inspired) is the next event (November Mobius). Information on this event will be posted. CAB will be at a conference next week, therefore, no events will be put on in that week. C. Creative Arts Club i. The club is in the process of posting posters to gain more members. They are planning a field trip to a museum. The next club meeting will be cancelled due to the school closure this Monday. D. Crypto Party i. Meetings are Thursdays at 5:30 and Friday at 1 pm. They have been meeting in the UWB commons. Talked about some recent successes. E. Engineering Club i. Elected both secretary and a treasurer. Current project is int he process of being built. They are not accepting people into the club at this point, but they are willing to help students who are interested. Leading two self study groups, contract Miguel for more information. The club meets biweekly on Wednesday from 4-5 pm in CC D. Fencing Club i. Previous advisor is unable to advise the club; however, a new advisor (Jill Lund) was found. E. Film Making Club i. Meetings are on Mondays. Working on getting involved in the SouthEast Asian Film Festival this weekend. F. Gay-Straight Alliance i. Planning their Holiday Potluck (a safe place for emotionally displaced students to celebrate the holiday). More details are to come, contact Natalie for more information. G. Next Generation I.T. Club i. Current project is building a 3D Printer. Their next move is to calibrate it. The printer uses plastic to print 3D objects. Let the club know of any ideas for using the printer to benefit a club or the school. The club started their
5 Cascadia Student Government Club Council Minutes speaker series, today at 11 in CC1. Began development for building websites for each club. Developing a process for customization for the clubs to individualize their webpage. Some functionality of the websites include club sign-ups online and a way to upload updates on current/future projects. I. Rotaract Club J. Swing Club i. Participated in Spooktacular to get their club publicity. Current project involves Homeless in Seattle to provide a Thanksgiving meal. Their Facebook page is up and running. Planning to collaborate with other Rotaract clubs to work on bigger projects in Seattle. Meets from 2-3 in the Club Council room. i. Still meeting on Mondays in the Mobius lobby. Still learning basic steps, so any new members are welcomed. K. Veteran s Community I. Old Business. New Business i. Meetings every Wednesday at 10:30 in the Veteran s Resource Center. Club Recognition o Chinese Communication Club Created for Chinese international students, but is open to all Cascadia students. The club is designed for international students to make friends and help cope with culture shock. They want to provide more information to students about transferring to 4-year Universities. The club is looking to collaborate with other Community Colleges for events. Engineering Club motioned to recognize the Chinese Communication Club. Rotaract Club seconded the motion. All in favor 11/0/0. Motion is passed. Chinese Communication Club is recognized.
6 o Christian Fellowship Club Have three different focuses. Will be examining biblical texts, focusing on the fellowship aspect and network, and move forward into biblical growth. Urban Gathering is now obsolete, but Brandon and his brother have been working with this group to carry on the legacy. The group fosters relationships between Christians. Next Generation IT Club motioned to recognize the Christian Fellowship Club. Cascadia Activities Board seconded the motion. All in favor 12/0/0. Motion is passed. Christian Fellowship Club is recognized. I. Open Forum/Announcements: A. Dates for all the club council meetings for the rest of the quarter are: November 21st, December 5th in room CC1 - from 9 am - 11 am B. CSG Town Hall Meeting i. Town Hall Meeting is a way to get more student feedback. It is Wednesday November 19th from 10am-12pm in the Club Council Meeting room. There will be cookies! C. CSG is looking to create an online venue for online students. More information is to come. D. Gay-Straight Alliance stated that next Thursday, their meeting will be held in The Center. Feedback was given from a UWB student stating the Cascadia is the best at networking among its students. II. Adjournment Gay-Straight Alliance motions to approve adjournment. Fencing Club seconded. All in favor 13/0/0. Motioned approved. Meeting adjourned at 9:53 am.
