First up will be the arton hield semi-final where our team faces Castle G.C. on ednesday 20 th eptember with tee off at 10:48am. f they are successful they will play the winners of ralee vs Galway in hursday s final where tee off will be at 11:30am. he Jimmy ruen will then take the stage on Friday 22 nd eptember against ountrath G.C. with tee off at 11:45am in their semi-final. hould they proceed to the final they will face the winner of Catlebar and allykisteen at 9am in aturday s final. e thank everyone who supported our fundraising events and we hope to see you at Carton House to cheer on the teams! 9 F C H F Fletcher on Fire to Claim the Close uperb golf from start to finish saw Jamie Fletcher see off a high quality field at Galway Golf Club to claim the rish Close Championship. eating fellow club member Colm Campbell Jnr on his way to the final, Jamie faced David Kitt from thenry G.C. 3up lead through 14 holes saw Jamie take a commanding lead but his opponent won both 15 and 16 to go back to a 1 hole deficit. 2 solid pars on 17 and 18 closed out the match and claimed the title of rish Close Champion. Congratulations to Jamie who is part of the arton hield squad vying for ll-reland glory! 4 in a row for Colm & the rish eam ins against ales and cotland had put reland in position to claim their 4 th Home nternationals itle in a row. heir opposition, ngland, also beat ales and cotland to make it a final day show down. Colm Campbell Jnr, who has been part of the last 3 winning teams, found himself in a familiar role in the anchor match against Jake urnage. Colm won the 17 th to go 1up and finished the match ll quare meaning the game with ngland was tied and reland won the title once again on points difference.
