1 Movember Update Week 3 Past the Point of MO Return We have passed the mid-way point! Now the MO Bros are half way through, their hairy achievements are really starting to show. They no longer have to stand in a certain light to prove their MO Bro status and can hold their heads high to show off that MO. For any MO Bros out there in need of a bit of inspiration of what to do with their flourishing follicles, here are some style tips. What tache will you choose? Tache-watch WOW! What a fantastic display of Tesco MO s including participants from HSC! If you haven t already donated, surely these fine facial specimens are looking worthy of a few quid! Some MO Bros have provided links to their Mo site but all can be found on Tesco Mo Bros If you are a Mo Bro and would like to be included in the next edition of Tache-watch then please send in your passport-style photographs to lucy.grimes@uk.tesco.com by Friday 23rd November. As you will see some people are getting inventive and sending in hyperlinks, messages and creative images to help our MO update grow! Feel free to send me in any little extras along with your image next week.

3 A little Message from Tesco Electrical So far in the Electrical Team we have Martyn under investigation Banks, Colin The Hogan Moore, Aaron Bum Fluff Shovlar, Geoff Inspector Williams, Jeff Flanders Stag, myself and some of our store colleagues. 4 Fundraising Update The Tesco MO Bros Network now has 109 members and has raised over If you re giving growing a MO a go, make sure you join the Tesco Mo Bros network and receive the Tesco 20% top-up on your fundraising. The Mo Machine Last week a group of MO volunteers faked some taches (in our defence we were mostly females so lacking in MO growing abilities) and ran an event titled The MO Machine. A human fruit machine with a hairy twist. The name of the game was to match three of the same tache in a row. You paid a 1 and got three spins. Everyone who got a match won a little prize and entered into a prize draw for the mystery prize. The event raised a healthy 45 not bad for an hours work and some foam MOs. Congratulations to Martin Symcox who was the winner of the mystery prize. Big thank you to our MO volunteers Gillian Gibson, Yasmin Garcha, James Taylor and Rupesh Ghelani.

6 HSC HSC have been busy growing MOs and baking cakes to raise money for a local male cancer charity, the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology. Check out some of these culinary delights:

7 Upcoming events After the success of the MO Machine look out for Pin The MO on Thursday 22 nd November at 12:30 13:30 in 1 Falcon Way Atrium. Why the MO? On average men live five to six years less than women and more than five men die prematurely each hour from potentially preventable illnesses. Hard hitting facts; especially when you consider there s no biological disadvantage putting men at greater risk and, according to research, up to half of male cancer cases could be prevented by making healthier diet and lifestyle choices. The reasons for the current state of men s health are numerous and complex but undoubtedly a big issue is the way men think about their health; preventative health being something many just don t compute. It s this issue that Movember s Awareness & Education programme is working hard to change. Awareness and education alters behaviour and mind-sets; it gradually breaks down barriers, removes stigmas and brings about real change. Movember wants men to take responsibility for their health, prevent illness by leading a healthy lifestyle and understand the symptoms and signs in both themselves and others so they can appreciate when and how to seek help if needed.
