Winners will receive a monetary prize and be eligible for entrance into the national competition held during Internal Medicine Meeting A Doctor s Dilemma competition will take place and the winning team will attend the national competition to be held in conjunction with Internal Medicine Meeting A Mentoring Session will take place for Medical Students. Early Career Physicians Activities A Mentoring Session will take place for Early Career Physicians. Learning Objectives At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to: Apply updated knowledge of obesity management, new hypertension recommendations, and oral anticoagulants to clinical practice. Improve clinical practice by incorporating major new developments in medical marijuana. Diagnose and manage opioid addiction. Increase confidence in performing ultrasounds. Who should attend? We will host our First Annual Yoga Session on Friday, October 5, beginning at 6:00 a.m. This session will be held in the Physician s Wellness Room in the A-pod of the Greater Columbus Convention. Important Information Regarding ABIM SEP Modules at the 2018 ACP Ohio/Air Force Chapter Meeting On Thursday and Friday, October 4 5, 2018, the Ohio/Air Force Chapter Meeting will be holding SEP Module Updates in the following categories: Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, and Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine. This will be the last time these modules will be offered to anyone. ABIM is changing the availability of all SEP modules, and these modules will NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE AFTER JUNE 30, If you are planning to attend these modules and claim MOC points you must follow the conditions below: 1. You must order the module(s) from the ABIM Physician Portal by June 30, We are not able to extend the deadline. This means you must commit well in advance of the meeting dates. 2. The deadline for submitting the completed module(s) has been extended to November 15 to allow ample time for submission following your October 4 5 learning session. 3. You will be able to earn 10 MOC points for each module. Please be sure to observe the above deadlines. No exceptions will be be made. ABIM is allowing registrants who order these modules through June 30 to complete the module and claim MOC after our Chapter Meeting. SEP participants who do not order the module by June 30 will NOT be able to claim MOC credit. *If you are already enrolled in the ABIM Maintenance of Certification program, there is no additional fee for this official version of the module.
