Page 5 What Do You Enjoy About Summer? (Part 3) I love summer. We spend a lot of time camping and boating at the Coralville Lake. After work, we head to West Overlook and start a fire to begin cooking our dinner. There are usually 6 or 8 of us all camping in sites side by side. We make pizza and fruit pies in the pie irons. Steaks on the grill on the wood fire with sweet corn and baked potato. A salad bar is always on the table as each one of us has a favorite salad. Come join us! You ll have fun, maybe a root beer float or maybe a game of Hawkeye Bag Toss. (Karen Wallace, Department of Endodontics) Beautiful gardens and more hours of daylight. (Nancy Stagg, Central Records) I came from Thailand, a hot place, so that s why I don t favor summer. However, I enjoy swimming in summer time, it s so fresh. (Dr. Ariyakriangkai Watcharaphong, Department of Operative Dentistry resident) I enjoy the warm weather, the longer periods of sunlight, and the chance to do some outdoor activities. (Dr. Leo Marchini, Department of Preventive & Community Dentistry) My favorite parts about summer are definitely the long, sunny days and of course the heat that comes along with it. (Zachary Monroe, College of Dentistry patient greeter and escort) Traveling on our cycle and our Minnesota vacations at the lake. (Terry Shay, Department of Periodontics) Less crowded downtown, parking, etc. (Dr. Steve Levy, Department of Preventive & Community Dentistry) I enjoy the extended daylight hours! (Cindy O Toole, Department of Preventive & Community Dentistry) FINALLY, warm weather! But also a little slower pace and a less crowded downtown. (Dr. David Jones, Department of Orthodontics) Geyer s Oven Bread and Pizza, Summer of the Arts, sandals, and farmer s markets. Homemade ice cream and long summer evenings. The engineer replies, "In the region of $125,000 a year, depending on the benefits package." The interviewer inquires, "Well, what would you say to a package of five weeks vacation, 14 paid holidays, full medical and dental, company matching retirement fund to 50% of salary, and a company car leased every two years, say, a red Corvette?"
