Upsilon Alpha Zeta Chapter The members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Upsilon Alpha Zeta Chapter joined the Sisters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., at the Annual Greek Unity Day service at Mr. Hermon AME Church. In addition, they assisted with the following community service projects: Registered participants and participated in the Trayvon Martin Peace Walk/Talk and assembled and distributed Valentine's Day bags for students at their adopted school, Lenora B. Broward County Alumnae Chapter had a wonderful time spreading sisterly love and magic at the Tri-Chapter Founders Day Breakfast at the Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Upsilon Xi Omega Chapter Health Promotion - Target II Pink Goes Red Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated joined the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, years ago. The goals were: to collaborate, support and commit to raising awareness regarding Heart Disease and Strokes throughout African American communities. Upsilon Xi Omega Chapter (UXO) celebrated this initiative, Pink Goes Red, on February 02, Upsilon Xi Omega Chapter invited Sorors from other AKA Chapters, Greeks family members and friends to attend. During this event, UXO disseminated Health issues, Healthy Life Styles, Healthy Eating, Exercise and conducted Blood Pressure screenings. Our Pink Goes Red attendance included approximately, twenty- seven (27) UXO Sorors; twenty-six quest (26), three guest speakers Dr. Jill Liebman, Neurologist _ Sunrise Medical Group Neurology; Video from Dr. Cory Lamar, MD Novant Health Summit Sleep& Neurology, Winston Salem, N.C.; and Mrs. Latasha Ponder, RN., Blood Pressure Screenings. What a Fun and sisterly evening!!

Chi Psi Omega Chapter Health Promotion - Target II Pink Goes Red Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Chi Psi Omega Chapter partnered with Mayor Jack Brady, City Commissioners, Fire Chief and City of North Lauderdale sta# to wear red in celebration of National Wear Red Day, Go Red for Women, Friday, February 3, The local chapter members, through Target II: Health and Wellness, recognize that the #1 killer of women is heart disease. Therefore, through partnerships, they set aside time to focus on awareness and influence as well as inspire women to make life!saving changes. A Zumba class will also be held to raise awareness. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated has dubbed the first Friday in February, annually, as Pink Goes Red for a Day ; commemorating the occasion. It is the sorority s Second Service Impact Day, set aside by its international program committee. Most importantly, in support of Wear Red Giving Day, the chapter set up, join Team Chi Psi Omega, a link for donations. Fully supported is the American Heart Association; Life is Why. Chapter members in attendance for the celebration with North Lauderdale were Ernestine Bobb, Ann Burnett $Lee%, Revertha W. Grace, Michelle Green, Bernice Pearson, Veronica E. Phillips, Barbara J. Thomas and Luwando Wright!Hines.
