Officer Report: i) VP of Community Relations - Elijah Diaz (e_d208@txstate.edu): De Zavala Elementary School opportunity: o Reminder: everyone needs to fill out background form and send me the sign-up sheet back this is important Round Tables: o Reminder for service chairs to send me their school schedules will be ing them soon, look out for that! New Volunteer opportunity: o The month of October we are focusing our social issue on women empowerment. We have a day of service on October 20 th from 9:00 am 12:00 pm at Hays Caldwell Women s Shelter. PhiA attended Bobcats Act of Kindness and heard of this opportunity. Consists of yard work mostly and will be on a Saturday o National Hispanic Institute opportunity: Only need 10 members; 2 from each org Nov. 2 nd Will vote next meeting.

Dia de los Muertos Fundraiser Wednesday Oct. 31 st o Send me Wednesday schedules if you haven t already done so or if they have changed by THIS FRIDAY 10/12 o Profit Shar3e Oct. 24 th at Cici 6:00 9:00 pm MGC Budget total $1660: will send out detailed break-down of expenses v) VP of Public Relations - Denise Salazar (d_s293@txstate.edu): Lambda Xi Delta: o Bi-annual Loteria Oct. 7:00 PM o Organization with most members in attendance will get $50 donated to their philanthropy o There will also be prizes for winners and food o Location TBD If you guys need help, let me know! this can include reaching out to orgs from other councils, or pubbing wise. 4 Greek Kick-Off on Friday ensure you Presidents have RSVP d via the link in their ! o In partnership with the Greek Week Games o Even if you are competing in the official games still come, there will be food and casual games to enjoy! - We are doing all of this for you, please participate! Emerging Leaders Academy applications were sent out last week. Each chapter is granted a spot to send someone. ELA is a 6 week program to help young leaders identify and improve their leadership skills. Recognize a young leader and have them apply! (Must have joined in Fall 2017 or Spring 2018) o Questions? Great leadership and professional development for Juniors and Seniors who have a 3.0 or higher o Questions? FVS is a mentor/mentee program for Fraternity/Sorority members to help them expand their leadership skills, critical thinking, community development, and develop relationships across councils! o Questions? 5 IX. Chapter Reports: (a) Delta Xi Nu: Founder s Day was yesterday and we all celebrated 21 years of Sisterhood, Culture and Education. October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (philanthropy), we ll be teaming up with Men Against Violence for their quad days so look forward to seeing us out there. Dates TBD. Look out for our upcoming t-shirt fundraiser to benefit a scholarship and our chapter s philanthropy of Suicide and Depression Awareness. will send out more info on shirts soon! (b) Kappa Delta Chi: Penguin Prevention in the Quad on the 11 th Information on cancer w/lollipops Plate Sale Fundraiser on the 20 th TBA Sunday Nights Volleyball w/ PhiA 11 pm REC Court 4 We are participating in Greek Week Team 1 (c) Phi Iota Alpha: We have two members becoming a part of ELA and they are excited! Thank you to all the people who came out to support us at our profit share at Blaze Pizza! (d) Sigma Lambda Beta: Working on BOB Started doing Stadium Clean Ups last Saturday (e) Sigma Lambda Gamma: Fruit cup sale on Wednesday!
