2 Third-generation thoracic stent graft system effective, precise and safe JOTEC develops stent graft systems in close collaboration with clinical users and is mindful of the high demands of clinical practice to ensure the effective treatment of patients. e-vita thoracic 3g combines many years of experience with stateof-the-art technology to enable the treatment of even difficult vascular anatomies. The safety of the patient and the clinical user is our top priority. The third product generation provides improvements to the implant and to the delivery system while preserving the tried and tested squeeze-to-release deployment mechanism. e-vita thoracic 3g Advanced technologies for optimum properties: Unique spring configuration for ideal stent graft flexibility 2-zone catheter for optimal pushability and precise trackability Hydrophilic coating for easy introduction and crossing the access vessel 2
3 The self-expanding stent grafts made from nitinol and polyester are 130 to 230 mm long and 24 to 44 mm in diameter and are available in different proximal and distal configurations. The outstanding stent graft flexibility allowing the implant to be accurately adapted to the patient s vascular anatomy with ideal longitudinal stiffness of the implant. E-vita THORACIC 3G s spring configuration guarantees safe fixation and the best possible adaptation even for difficult vascular anatomies The stent graft is equipped with radiopaque markers for safe positioning 3
4 The delivery system easy and safe handling The E-vita THORACIC 3G delivery system convinces through its excellent handling properties in each phase of implantation and provides ideal support to the clinical user during the treatment. The delivery system enables the lesion to be reached safely, the stent graft to be positioned exactly and offers controlled and accurate release thanks to the patented Squeeze-to-Release mechanism. The delivery system is available in sizes from 20 F and with a working of 95 cm The flexible radiopaque tip ensures atraumatic access to the aortic arch The catheter s hydrophilic coating makes introduction into the vessel easier 4
5 The separate proximal spring fixation allows for repositioning partially released stent graft, thus enabling exact positioning in the vessel. After releasing the proximal spring and completely deploying the stent graft, the delivery system can be safely removed. The 2-zone catheter ensures optimal pushability and precise positioning in the vascular system without kinking The ergonomic control handle secures the delivery system s position during the procedure The Squeeze-to-Release mechanism enables stepwise and continuous release with little effort 5
