2 Welcome to Mary Frances Trust s newsletter, we have lots of different activities going on here are just a few: Epsom: Parvin has organised Cage Cricket which is running at the Longmead Centre on Monday afternoons and the sewing class continues to grow at The Kings Church on Wednesdays. Banstead: Clare has started walking and running groups and a book club. Mole Valley: We are holding a get online event on Thursday 5 th October when you can drop into The Crescent Centre and get tips on using your tablet, smartphone or laptop. There is no need to book, just pop in between 10.30am and 2.30pm. There are still spaces on the Moving Forward course and Card Making course both are being held in Leatherhead. East Elmbridge: Please look at the calendar on pages 6 & 7 of this newsletter to find all the activities that Wellness With A Goal are offering. Mary Frances Trust will be holding its AGM in the evening of Thursday November 23 rd and it will be held at Ashtead Cricket Club, Woodfield Lane. Invites will be sent out shortly. The 10 th October is World Mental Health Day! - and Epsom Mental Health & Wellbeing Festival Week takes place between 7 th and 15 th October. There are so many activities planned through the week, do have a look through the timetable in this newsletter or go to for more details. On 15 th October the old one pound coin is no longer legal tender. You will be able to change them in banks after this date though. You could alternatively donate any of your old one pounds coins to Mary Frances Trust! Louise has started us off by donating three that she found in a drawer. On Thursday 5 th October from you can drop into Mary Frances Trust at The Crescent Centre Leatherhead and learn some basic tips on using the internet on your smartphone, tablet or laptop. 21 Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, the leading provider of mental health and drug and alcohol services in Surrey and north east Hampshire, announced last year that on 2 nd October 2017, people who use services, staff and visitors will no longer be able to smoke tobacco products on any of its premises, including car parks and inpatient gardens. This comes as part of a wider health and wellbeing drive at the Trust which aims to promote the important link between physical and mental health. 21
