On November 14, 2014, please join us for our 3 rd annual Hope in the City Breakfast This breakfast event provides an opportunity for attendees to network with like-minded leaders, to learn about the support opportunities available and how they can collaborate with The Salvation Army in bringing vital services to people in need in London and area. Special guests include our keynote speaker, Mr. Rex Murphy of CBC Radio. He is a trusted face and voice across Canadian media. His intellect and biting humour strike through the heart of profound political and social issues. Currently he writes and reports for CBC s The National and hosts Cross Country Checkup in addition to his role as a columnist in the National Post. Also joining us as Master of Ceremonies is Christine Taleski. She is an Associate Producer at community station Rogers TV and the host and moderator of its weekly program Toe to Toe that features two Londoners in one-on-one debates about current affairs. On November 14, The Salvation Army of London presents the third annual Hope in the City breakfast to bring together London s business community for an important cause: creating hope in the City of London. At our Hope in the City Breakfast we give an opportunity to learn about these programs to the leaders who can make a difference in the lives of the members of our community who have lost hope and dignity. Your investment in the Hope in the City breakfast will assist us with delivering: Food bank and other family support programs through our Community and Family Services Day care, respite and adult day programs at the London Village Shelter services at our Centre of Hope facility Services, support, resources and guidance through our Correctional and Justice Services program to persons in conflict with the law, victims and the community The Hope in the City breakfast is the first step toward life-changing opportunities for the most vulnerable and marginalized in our community.
