1 CURRICULUM COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES College of Southern Idaho Wednesday May 18, :00pm Taylor 258 Attendance: Paul Morgan, Jayson Lloyd, Mark Daily, Terry Patterson, Teri Fattig, Whitney Smith, Valerie Warner, Chris Bragg, John Hughes, Lori Garnand, Cesar Perez Ex-Officio: Mark Sugden, Cindy Bond, Lena Paxton, Todd Schwarz, Jeff Fox Guests: Michele McFarlane, Teri Harbacheck, Sue Madarieta, Rick Aman, Jeff Welcome and Introductions: Chris Bragg welcomed all including guests. Approval of Minutes for April 20, 2011 Presenter: Chris Bragg None Conclusions: Lori made a motion to approve minutes, Debi seconded the motion. It passed with 11 votes. Proposals requiring the 30-day wait Title: Program Goals and Outcomes Medical Administration Support the proposed changes have been recommended to enhance the curriculum to better fit how a graduate would fit into a medical office profession. CWI is also asking to waive the 30 day wait on all proposed 30 day wait changes so that the changes may be implemented before the Curriculum Committee meets again in the fall. 1

It was discussed that it may be a better approach to clearly declare the pre-requisite score required. CWI will consider clarification to ease confusion. They assembled courses they currently offer for this program to form. Final assessment will be CDL test. CWI was asked to be more specific on #4 Program Outcomes Assessment. The Curriculum Committee gave CWI 11vote of support in this action with the State 6
