10 Serve EVERY Day Everyday ACTION receives phone calls from all over the Ventura County from people who need some kind of help. Through ACTION these people can find volunteers to help them move, fix a broken window, or even build them an accessibility ramp. Look on their website for opportunities. There are two different levels of opportunities though the website - The first level you will see on the Action is "Volunteer to serve" which allows for one- time or on- going projects sponsored by social service agenies, caring for seniors, and the disabled. The projects are ideal for small groups. - The second level is "Lead a Service Project" These service opportunities need a leader to assemble the volunteers and resources to meet these needs. These are skilled projects (electrical, plumbing, and carpentry) and semi- skilled (landscaping, decluttering, and painting). The skilled opportunities are ideal for handymen (and women).
