1 FUNDAŢIA PORŢI DESCHISE MEDGIDIA, ROMANIA President: E. Hardi Kubassek OPEN DOORS FOUNDATION June 2008 Report He that goes forth with weeping bearing the precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing bring his sheaves with him! It was a challenge getting everything into place before we left for our trip to Canada, as you may be aware from previous reports; we are very short handed here. Wherever our journey took us we sensed the genuine love and support; of family, friends, brothers and sisters in the Lord, even from those whom we had not previously met. What a wonderful family the Lord has made us a part of! Our hearts are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and genuine interest in the well being of the children we are ministering to. So many of you reminded us that you are continually praying for us and others pledged to begin supporting us on a monthly basis. Thank you everyone, eternity alone will declare how far your love has reached! Brian Lise of Eurovangelism, our Canadian partner and his team, did wonderful work, arranging and hosting four fund raising banquets. Beti gave a Power Point presentation and spoke about the many challenges here, while Hardi spoke about the solutions that Open Doors is providing with the help of YOU; our supporters. Regular school will be ending here in a week and we are getting ready to stage the most comprehensive summer program in our history. We have help coming from the USA, Manitoba, Alberta and from points in Romania. Among those coming is a NHL Stanley Cup champion goalie and his wife, a soccer coach and family, a business executive with his wife who is a teacher and their two children, three teachers from Manitoba, and Romanian bible college students. Programs for the summer will include one week camps, day trips to the sea, summer school, daily vacation bible school, music lessons, sports activities and more. We have made a commitment to help out a neighborhood school with their summer school supplies, meals and helpers. There will be about twenty students attending this endeavor, which means a substantial financial commitment from Open Doors. (Please see the complete needs list at the end and how to contribute)

7 Beti, Rubie (Girl requiring major heart surgery we care for) and Roxanna, (helper) Blessed fellowship with the Suceavas and Stokes Please consider helping the needy children here in Medgidia as a part of your summer vacation budget. Pray about it and act today. Part time tutoring teachers cost us between $ to $ per month. Camps, up to $ per week per child. How many will you help? Lice treatment and laundry soap. $100, $500. $1000. School Supplies. $100, $500. $1000. Full time staff $ to $ depending on hours and qualifications.
8 Food for breakfast and lunch five days a week. $100. $500. $1000. Hope for the Children Centre, building fund. $100. $500. $1000. Canadian donations should be directed to EUROVANGALISM and designated for OPEN DOORS FOUNDATION. Info and donate on line or phone USA donations can be made on line at CHILDREN.ORG and please designated to OPEN DOORS FOUNDATION in the comment box at the bottom of the donation page.
