1 Alumni Update 2016 A quick round up of connects of 2016 and hoping for lots more in Chapter heads are the backbone of the alumni association and critical to our mission of connecting alumni in and across the cities where they live and work. They will continue to reach out to you, but need your active participation. Take the first step and reach out to them - wherever they are. Our mission also extends to reaching out to the current batches in order to broaden their horizons and career creating an ongoing interaction with alumni. The Annual Igniting Mind series is a platform to achieve that. We urge you all to reach out to us to bring your knowledge, talent and experience and share the same with the current batches. Your presence ignites and challenges their mind. It s an excellent way to give back to school and mentor current MCGS girls. We are waiting to hear from you.

2 Alumni Connect Mayo Alumni Express went full steam in picking up momentum across the globe (see the cities mentioned alongside). Thanks to all the hard work of the Chapter Heads along with alumni across the cities, who were eager to connect and showed up in large numbers in the events. Here is a glimpse into the alumni events across the globe. It was amazing to see a diverse set of events which ranged from : - Lunches, Drinks and Dinner for some good old Mayo bonding across the globe - Participation in the India Day Parade in New York - Curated walk of artist Himmat Shah's retrospective at Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, the country's first private philanthropic museum. - Book Launch at Dilma Tea Lounge - Coffee Date and Talk by an Alumni Chavvi Rajawat -Marketplace Pop Up Place with a Special Session by Mayo Alumni & APB Cook Studio s Rushina Munshaw - Discussions on potential collaboration with Teach for India - A lovely themed event Mayo Rewind to relive the Mayo nostalgia Delhi Mumbai Bangalore Pune Jaipur Indore Assam Surat Nepal Canada New York San Francisco Ajmer Kanpur Dubai Singapore

7 We even made it to Everest!! We are brimming with awe and pride to announce that Shweta Nirban (1994 batch) - MCGS Pune Chapter Head has been successful in her trek to Mount Everest Base Camp at feet! This is an astounding achievement, given the challenging terrain and we wish her the very best for conquering Everest next.

8 Launching Igniting Minds 2016 Founders Day, we launched our maiden project: Igniting Minds It is our aspiration and desire to get uber achieving, interesting and relevant speakers to visit school and share their knowledge as well as valuable experiences. The speakers would do work shops, talk to the students or just share their personal experiences with our young minds at school to aspire them to dream big and refocus on life. Founders day was appropriate to set the ball rolling for our young bright minds. The cherished School Fete, is also on 1 st august. 2016, we launched a new range of fun MCGS memorabilia and alumni merchandise.
