4 FREEME ORGANISATION Please join us on the 12 th July at 9.45am when the Free Me Organisation will be presenting a wonderful slide show on the work that they do. FreeMe is a rehabilitation centre for indigenous wildlife based in the north of Johannesburg. It was founded in 1997 by a group of trained rehabilitators who realised that there was not enough organised care for suburban indigenous wildlife. Bring along friends; there is no charge and if you need a lift, please phone the church office on and we will try and help. JARS FOR JAM JARS FOR JAM One of our members generously makes jam for the recipients of the pantry, but is in need of jars in which to put the jam. If you have purity bottles or bottles of a similar size, please drop them off at the church office. TEA / COFFEE AFTER THE MORNING SERVICES For many years Dr Hugh Wyllie served tea in the covered way after the morning services. As he has now left Johannesburg, we are looking for a volunteer or group of volunteers who can take over this function. Please will anyone who would be willing to do this contact either Ron Timm / rontimm@mweb.co.za or alternatively Ann Klemptner on / annk796@gmail.com The Church Choir Our church choir is open to new membership, and Kevin is always pleased to hear from prospective choristers. 5 Parkview's Potjiekos Competition You don t have to compete to enjoy the day! Bring some friends, have lunch, join in! The fun we had last year prompted us to do it again! The Nicarela Charity is organising a major cook up... Where? Parkview, Corner Westmeath and Lurgan Road open air in the George Hay Park. (see map below) When? 29 July 2012 from 10h30 till the sun goes down. Bring friends and/or family, settle on the lawn and enjoy tasty food, family fun and entertainment. R 50 for a plate of potjiekos with pap or rice. Drinks, pancakes and boerewors rolls also available. All income goes to the outreach programmes Nicarela Charity supports orphanages, HIV centres, soup kitchen, shelters, schools and many more. It ll be fantastic to see you there!
