1 Hello everyone March 2017 Community Newsletter February has started off with a bit of a bang here at KMAC, we have officially commenced our Home Care Services to Killarney, Warwick and surrounding communities. KMAC has commenced the building of our four bed extension to and has enlisted Roulston builders as our contractor. While the construction is underway there will be no entry to KMAC via the back gate on (Eucalyptus Street) as this is a construction site. Allora medical centre have added another day each week to their calendar to service our community, the Doctors will be here Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. For appointment please call Allora medical Centre. Don t forget our fundraising that we are undertaking to assist with our extensions, we are currently selling glass bricks, the bricks will form a part of our new administration area. The glass bricks will be engraved with your choice of wording i.e. family name and year or in memory of.. Cost are: Gold engraving $1,500. Silver engraving $1,000. Bronze engraving $500. DOCTOR Dr Geisel is continuing to visit each Tuesday and Wednesday, if you would like an appointment, please call on (07) We are very grateful for the ongoing support from Allora Medical so please continue to utilise this service. PATHOLOGY Sullivan Nicolaides now offer pathology services at KMAC. If you need blood taken, our services start from 7.00 am to 2.30pm Monday to Thursday. Please call to make an appointment. If you need an urgent collection outside of these hours, please give us a call so we can ensure staff are available. JUSTICE OF THE PEACE Janette Swain is a qualified JP (Qualified). Janette is available for members of the community from Monday to Friday 9am to 2pm (except public holidays and annual leave). 2 Skye s Corner Hello everyone Music and Art Therapy held at KMAC is proudly sponsored by Allora Medical Centre. Staff and residents thank you for your support and generosity. Welcome to Autumn. Aren t we glad this hot weather has finally left us? We have been busy bees here at Kmac. We celebrated Waitangi day with a delicious roast lamb lunch, had a lovely scenic mystery drive to Elbow Valley. We also celebrated a day of love with a Valentine s day high tea yum. We were lucky to have the wonderful musical stylings of The Grumpies come and entertain us for the morning. Our side-show Alley happy hour went down a treat with hot chips, Dagwood dogs and fresh made berry ice-cream yummy.. March will be another busy month with a trip to Stanthorpe to see our friends from Carramar and Villa and we will be enjoying a morning tea with them at the Aloomba Lavender farm. Of course we will be celebrating St Patricks day with happy hour and will be seeing where the road takes us with our Mystery s. Trevor and the art class have begun work on the next mural, the theme of which is being kept a secret until the reveal day. Oh the suspense.. We are looking forward to what the month will bring, so until next time..
